November 1 2021

I guess I've mislead people by saying I'm retired, it turns out I have another job to do at the end of the month. A show home for one of the Regina home builders. Totally my fault, I've lied to Deanie's brother so often over the last 18 months I can't even trust my own echo. I'm going to put my knee pads on and crawl around the house for the next few weeks to prepare my body for when the job is ready.

Have a good day

Sept 1 2021

I don't have much to say, which is a bit surprising after the month just past. Tony had a health resurgence after a great dose of family medicine over the course of a few weeks. Louise , Dave, Marcia, Dennis, Lou, and Marie all made their way to Regina to see Tony. The Sunday meetings had more visitors than usual, we had a normal Sunday visit on August 29 and we see the results the family gatherings had on Tony. Of course there were the normal post reunion blues to get over. Now we look forward to the month of September.

August 1 2021

Well, I didn't have anything to write about for August 1 but now there's something very exciting. Dave and Louise, and, Marcia and Dennis are coming to Regina for a visit this month. As the man said, "I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head." There's no better way to start the month than with a Sunday morning visit at Tony's.

Looking forward to a great month

June 1 2021

I' m sorry, I've been taxing my brain and I am just not able to come up with an entry for June 1. It's not for a lack of trying. I don't want to repeat myself, and with a memory like mine, I had to go back over the blog. There's a lot of previous entries, while reading them, I happened to fall asleep sitting at my computer. When I woke up my head was lying at a 90 degree angle to my body, I had such a crick in my neck I couldn't lift my head off my shoulder. I got up to get an ice pack for the pain. Of course, my balance was way out of whack and a touch of vertigo sent my head careening into the stairs. When I came to I was lying on a basement floor not knowing where I was, or even, who the hell I was. I figured I belonged here though because I saw a picture of myself with six other fellows standing by a truck. It looked like we might be friends or something. On further investigation I found another picture of the same six guys posing in identical positions, we were quite a bit younger and there was an older gentleman with us. We were also standing in front of a truck, when I read the name on the truck it snapped my memory back to who I was. I was even able to name each guy in the picture because they were my brothers, and the older gentleman, he was my dad. I had quite a lump on my head and another different kind of lump in my throat. I'm ok now though.

I still haven't been able to come up with an entry for the blog.

May 1 2021

I'm  having trouble signing into my own blog. Every time I want to ad a new post a I have to sign in, and every time I have to sign in they don't accept my password, so, each time I have to create a new password. My memory is not what it used to be, and it's never been that good, I'm one of those losers that follows all the rules, like stopping at stop signs and red lights while riding my bike and hiding my passwords where no one can find them. Yeah, not even me. I've got about fifty of them, they're somewhere in the house.

Anyway, here I am. A little flustered but in relatively good health, although my blood pressure might be a little high at the moment. I was hoping May would be better than April. April is not a good month for blood pressure, you start out on guard on April Fools day, each time the phone rings your blood pressure climbs a notch, and with Deanie's brother Terry phoning every 15 minutes requesting a hacksaw blade to cut the bars on his window so he can get out and Spiderman his way down the side of the building where I can pick him up and drive him home, the old heart is put to the test. It's a good thing his memory is worse than mine, He doesn't remember I tell him I'll bring a blade over "tomorrow night" for the last two months. It's sad but after being in the Santa Maria for over a year he thinks he's only been there a few weeks. Then after April first it's that week of waiting to see if the good Lord is going to pop out of His tomb again for the second coming. Now, after that week it's, Income Tax time!!! All bets are off the table as to who or what is going to survive until that final "netfile" button is hit. As you can see by this May 1st post, I made it.

I'm pretty much on my last nerve though.
