I was going to start the year with a great quote from the pages of history and around the world. Perhaps from the great Greek philosopher Aristotle or the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius. China's most influential philosopher Confucius comes to mind. Maybe from the analytical psychology of the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. Germany gives us Friedrich Nietzsche with his fondness of aphorisms and irony. How about closer to home with a quote from America's Ralph Waldo Emerson. Maybe that would be more appropriate. Alas.
