December late

I would like to come up with an excuse for not renewing the month, actually I have one , it's called procrastination. Here it is, a little late but in time for a few more birthdays.

October 1

Scarecrow Festival today in Lumsden. Maybe it should be called Halloween Festival, there will be dumbies dressed as electricians hanging on the side of telephone poles, you remember telephone poles. There's one display that is a pirate ship, pirates and a damsel in distress guard a ship load of gold coins of the chocolate variety, probably the only time you'll see children fearlessly loot a pirate ship. Zombies rising up from in the ground, Dorothy walking the yellow brick road with her friends, Red being stalked by the wolf, prisoners escaping from jail, just to name a few. Some creative minds in that little town. We'll join the kids for a horse and wagon ride throughout town. Now there's a day to toast to life!

August 1

The August long weekend.
Normally we would have been in Wakaw this weekend but circumstances changed our plans. It has been quite a weekend. Saturday, we attended the interment of Amanda Gunn's ashes at Riverside Cemetary in Regina. There was a terrific turn out for the celebration of her life and a great gathering at Ellen Gunn's after the service. On Sunday, Tricia and Marie graced our home with a visit and later in the day we received news of a new great niece, Camdyn Brielle Agopsowicz. Oh yeah, and I've added a new post to the blog.

June 7 / 2011

Oops! I guess I won't fool anybody by dating this June 1 and claiming in got lost in the mail. I've been pretty busy at work but that's no excuse. I could say my computer crashed and I just got back on line, yeah, yeah, that's it, my computer crashed and I just got back on line. Or! Or! My dog ate my keyboard, oh yeah I don't have a dog. How about my new diet has weakened my resolve, my nutritionist has me on a no sugar diet, it's eliminated 97 per cent of what I usually eat. My resolve isn't all it's weakened. Or... maybe I'm getting nastalgic and wanted to remember the beginning of Ed's Edition, when we had 1400 comments on the first post. The truth is I've been... I can't think of the word...It means something like, to put off until another day or time; defer; delay. Also postponing, dilly dallying, dawdling, shilly shallying, loafing and a number of others. Anyway, whatever that word is I'm really good at it.

May 1

Happy May.
Once again the blog continues. Every time I think it's going to fizzle out, it gets new life, almost 100 entries last month. I didn't get much reaction from the reunion rumor I tried to fertilize. Of course the great majority of entries are from Louise and Betty Jo, which is great, if I was sitting in a room visiting with them the conversation would be much the same, I'd mostly do listening. Keeping visiting girls, I like it.

P.S. I could save some time and space if I dropped that e on the end of love. Well, not a lot of space but a fair bit of time as I continue to use the hunt and peck method of typoing, and as you can see from "typing", my fingers are not all that accurate at pecking. If I laft all my mistakes in it I could save another twenty minutes, but then it would be a lot more difficult to read.

April 1

It's getting hard to believe the blog is still going. I suppose if not for Louise it might not be, she just makes it easier for the rest of us to sit on our as...behinds and just read. I may be a fool, but today, at least I'm not an April fool.
Rearrange the letters in the word "sleuth" to make another word.

March 1

March 1st almost passed by without an entry. It's been somewhat hectic around our place since Deanie's dad died. There have been some very emotional moments with the family. He was 95 and will be missed. We have the funeral on Friday and I expect to see a large number of people. He was certainly loved by the town of Lumsden, I was happy to call him dad.

Lots of love

February 1

I woke up this first morning of February feeling like I could start an intense exercise program to carve off the extra weight I'm carrying around. Luckily I was able to crawl back into bed until the feeling passed.

Have a great day

Happy New Year!!!

It is at this time I usually resolve not to make a new year's resolution thus breaking it as I make it. This year is different, I am making resolutions. I will exercise more, I will eat less, I will read more, watch tv less, do more work around the house, do more work around the yard, spend less time on the computer, pay more attention to the news, learn to cook, pray more often, make a bucket list, develop a hobby and shave everyday. Basically become a better person. There...Jesus, I have no idea what's happening now but I anticipate fun and happiness in the future.
