I have had a few problems with my computer and it froze up inside. I asked an IT person about it who helped me get it back online. I gave her a big hug. I know...I know!!! That's politically incorrect but I don't think she minded.
You gotta know I was wondering.
Where would you dig a hole from to pull me through?
What are all in a row?
When are ribbons of grey happy ways?
Who stayed all day?
Why would you build a castle so high?

Way to go Sonia,
All of your answers are great. I don't know The Curly Wurly, but I may make an effort to get acquainted with it. Sounds good.

Happy Canada Day!
Sonia ... you have been busy while I have slept the night away. I have entered your latest answers. I think marshmallows is quite clever for #16. The Curly Wurly is new to me but it certainly fits for #19. Rolos and Aero are hidden right in their clues. Good eye!
I am going to suggest just a plain old CANDY for #14. BTW...BJ could you tell me how you got MACAROON for #4?
By my reckoning, we have 6 more clues to solve: 9, 10, 11, 14, 17 and 27. We are almost there!

Macaroon was one of those stretches--the word can be made by re-arranging some of the letters in the sentence.
Now I am wondering if the answer might be coke or even coke balls. (another real stretch). If you consider Nicola to be "short sighted" (myopic) and shorten her name by removing the Ni, you get cola (as in coca cola) and eyes can be considered orbs (or balls) and, voila, you have coke balls. Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing. Or how about coke bottles, (also a candy) whose bottom could be like the glasses some myopic people wear. And no, I haven't been drinking something stronger than coke--this is just how my mind works when I am in puzzle-solving mode. What a maroon!!

27. Mille-feuille, also known as Napoleon cake is a dessert of many layers.
Happy Canada Day, blog.
I don't get the day off until Friday (don't ask me why... I have no idea why they celebrate Canada Day three days late here). But today I'm thinking about all my Canadian loved ones and sending an extra dose of red and white to Calgary.
16. Watermelon candy. there are dozens of them, jelly beans, jolly ranchers, rock candy, slices, gummies etc.
HAPPY CANADA DAY!
Thanks Ken,
I love your Canada Day posting, especially that extra red & white dose you're sending. I see that although you now live in the US, Canada still lives in you! Too bad Texas doesn't celebrate Canada Day until July 4th!!
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
CANADA is one of the most comfortable and caring societies. The United Nations Human Development Index cited CANADA as the most desirable place in the world to live.

Are we lucky or what? I love Canada!!
Happy Canada Day to all Canadians, living here or elsewhere.
Love,
