Wow, Ed,What a great reunion page. Thanks. Hey all,Don't miss the last few entries on the old thread. I'm looking forward to our visiting on this reunion day. I'll be checking the Blog off and on all day. Let's have a party!!!BJ & Ken, glad you like the quote. That Dr. Seuss was definitely a genius, don't you think?YEE-HAW!ME, xoxoxoxoxo
Who's bringing the food? Who's bringing the drinks?...the toys...the memorabilia?
It's 9 o'clock on a Sunday... the regular crowd rushes in... There's an old man(no kidding), sittin' next to me.... makin' love to his tonic and gin...
Hey Lucy.. Karen says thank you for remembering her on her birthday.
Hey Ed, I'm having a bit of trouble posting on the new thread. That's what that testing is all about. Maybe, it's just my computer. I hope I can party with you all!!!
No, I think it's working again. Whew!!!! That was a scary thought, not being able to be with you.
I'm in! Party on, celeblogs! This should be a fun day. Good to see you, Marty. You're looking great. Your sound is fantastic, too. (as always).Thank goodness you got in, ME. I hope everyone else can. Love, BJ
Here in Saskatoon, we are having a bit of a family reunion ourselves this morning. Don is busy in the kitchen making one of his famous breakfasts. Vic is setting the scene as only Vic can do. David and I are hovering around with our first coffee of the day waiting to dig in.
You can bet we're talking about the blog party, though. We'll be back after breakfast.
I'm back, but not for long. In a few minutes we will be leaving Saskatoon for Regina Beach. We're not likely to be back on the blog for a few days but we will catch up on all the fun.
Hi all reunionites, From Mary Engelbreit and me, "Nothing is worth more than this day." I'm so fortunate to be able to share part of this day with Lucy-Lou reading all your wonderful comments and recalling memories of our family reunion. While Lucy, Dave and John were here we watched some of Don's reunion video, listening to the sisters sing, the bros sing(and ham it up), Marty's wonderful rendition of "Walking in Memphis" and little and big "kids" enjoying the renewal of old and the beginning of new friendships. It was sweet then and as ME quoted from the good Dr.Seuss, we are smiling "because it happened" Love y'all. Vic
I’m afraid that some times you’ll play lonely games too. Games you can’t win ’cause you’ll play against you. All Alone! Whether you like it or not, Alone will be something you’ll be quite a lot. And when you’re alone, there’s a very good chance you’ll meet things that scare you right out of your pants. There are some, down the road between hither and yon, that can scare you so much you won’t want to go on. But on you will go though the weather be foul On you will go though your enemies prowl On you will go though the Hakken-Kraks howl Onward up many a frightening creek, though your arms may get sore and your sneakers may leak. On and on you will hike and I know you’ll hike far and face up to your problems whatever they are. You’ll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You’ll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life’s a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.) KID, YOU’LL MOVE MOUNTAINS! So… be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O’Shea, you’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So…get on your way! Dr. Seuss
At 2:00 I am scheduled to drive to the meadow to begin a search for some guy named Mozart. It just so happens I pass a 7 11 on the way so I think a slurpee is in order.
Actually there's a speck on a flea on the wart on the frog on the bump on the log in the hole on the bottom of the sea. And I suggest we pluck that speck, flick that flea, whack that wart, flip that frog, bang that bump, lose that log, and fill up that hole, because nobody wants a hole in the bottom of the sea!
You guys in Regina sure are lucky to have Mozart in the meadow. I once saw de Falla in da field and Chopin while shoppin', but never Mozart in the meadow.
Oh, and Ed... I'll be sure to let you know if I find your marbles. (But to be honest, it's not looking good. It's been so long since I've seen my own that I'm not sure I'd recognize marbles if I saw them).
I just left for a few hours to play in the park. I thought of you guys while I was singing.
You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain... This kinda love drives a man insane... You broke my will... Oh what a thrill... Goodness, gracious Great balls o' fire....
Good Night All, This was a good reunion day, although I missed those who weren't on. You were in my thoughts however, so I guess in a way you were here!
Well, this certainly turned out to be quite a turnout.
Although, it didn't really, did it? A lot of postings by a relatively small number of of people (most of whom have trophies from the reunion for being so blogprolific). That's too bad, but I'm looking forward to reading everything after I sneak in this posting.
Sorry I'm late; we had a big day. Lorraine's facility was having its annual family picnic and I was part of the entertainment. Nevertheless, I wanted to get my hello and happy blogaversary in before the clock turns on August 24. I'll be back after I read all the other entries.
My highlight of the reunion was seeing Grandma (unfortunately for the last time). She seemed very happy and proud on the big day and stayed way longer than I ever would have expected. When we shared a private moment just before I hit the road she said something to the effect that it would be the last time I saw her. I, of course, objected, telling her she'd probably outlive us all. But as I drove back to B.C., I thought "she's probably right, that may well have been it."
Who woulda thunk that a very short three months later I would move to Saskatchewan only to find her obit in the Leader-Post when I arrived. I am very grateful for the reunion because if it had not been for that, chances are I would have gotten here three months too late.
Well, I'm back. I feel like the guy who rolls in with a six-pack at midnight and says, "okay, let's get this party rolling," only to find out it's already over.
I am also a big fan of Dr. Suess. And yes, I am smiling that it happened rather than being sad it's over. That being said, sorry if my last post seemed morose; it was not my intention by any means.
BTW, Luce, don't know if you'll find Internet in Regina Beach, but if you do, I got your message and Thursday sounds fine, although morning would certainly be better than afternoon.
Also, Brandon received your forwarded birthday message and said he thought it was neat. Said it made him feel like he was part of something (although from his tone, I got the impression he wasn't quite sure what it was). Hahhahahhahhhaahahah. Maybe sometimes it's better not to know.

Welcome to the party, Lucy!!
Hey Marty,
Thanks for the song. We definitely need your entertainment at our party!
Party Hardy!

We already have a wish in from Scotland. Our honorary Antonini, Margaret Strachan says:
"Hope all the 'clan' have a great day, which could be far more than 24 hours given all the time zones included."
Thanks ME...Vic and I are both surprised to see you here. You must be making a special holiday effort to join in on the fun.
Ed...what a beautiful way to start our day!
Marty...keep those tunes coming. Tell Karen she is most welcome to our birthday wish. We hope her day was very good.
Hi BJ...we just knew you'd be here oozing enthusiasm.
Love, Lucy

Bob & I got home yesterday, Lucy. The rain washed us back! We had a great time, even with the last few days of monsoon weather!
Hey Puzzle Solvers,
Can you unscramble the following to make some sense??
YES IT FLAME BY SMITH
It's the truth!
LOL,
ME xoxoxoox
I don't know what Mary Ellen's puzzle is all about all I'm thinking today is... my family is the best.
Time for brunch...like Arnold says..."I'll be back."
Just by thinking that thought Ed,
you got the answer!! It's the truth as I said.
MY FAMILY IS THE BEST!!!
Loving the clan,

I'm back, but not for long. In a few minutes we will be leaving Saskatoon for Regina Beach. We're not likely to be back on the blog for a few days but we will catch up on all the fun.

I'm back, anybody out there?
My little family has just left for home. Eddie has a case of the itch from the lake yesterday, he's handling it pretty well.
I thought the guy was long gone but somebody said Mozart is playing "In The Meadow" this afternoon. Deanie is going to check it out.
Yep, I'm here Ed! I also thought Mozart was long gone! Let me know if you see him!
Wow Vic,
Thanks for reminding us of some of the highlights from last year. Didn't we have fun? I'm happy you're at the party - the more the merrier!
Love,
ME xoxoxoxo
I'm pretty sure Deanie will spot him, she saw him in the meadow last year and the year before that she saw Beethoven at Buffalo Pound. Go figure.
Hey does anyone out there know that there's a hole in the bottom of the sea.
There's a hole in the bottom of the sea!!!!
Doesn't anybody care...there's a hole, there's a hole!!!!! there's a hole in the bottom of the sea
Don't worry Ed,
There's a log in the hole in the bottom of the sea, so nothing will fall through.
BJ

There's a log in the hole in the bottom of the sea?!
Hey Ed,
I care that there's a hole in the bottom of the sea. Did you know that there is a bump on that log in that hole in the bottom of the sea?
Love that Dr. Seuss!!!
Love,
ME xoxoxoxo
No!!! There's a bump on the log in the hole in the bottom of the sea?!!!
Yes,and get this - there's a frog on the bump on the log in the hole in the bottom of the sea!!
Believe it or not!
Ah come on, there's a frog on the bump on the log in the hole in the bottom of the sea!!?
Do you think perhaps that frog on the bump on the log on the bottom of the sea, just might have a wart? What do you think?
Anybody out there reading a good book they might recommend?
What???A wart on the frog on the bump on the log on the bottom of the sea!!
At 2:00 I am scheduled to drive to the meadow to begin a search for some guy named Mozart. It just so happens I pass a 7 11 on the way so I think a slurpee is in order.
Now I just have to decide what to get for the slurpee to wash down
Actually there's a speck on a flea on the wart on the frog on the bump on the log in the hole on the bottom of the sea. And I suggest we pluck that speck, flick that flea, whack that wart, flip that frog, bang that bump, lose that log, and fill up that hole, because nobody wants a hole in the bottom of the sea!
Is it true that talking to yourself is a sign that you're losing your marbles?
I agree with ME
2:04 and the search party has not yet assembled. I'm online for a few more minutes.
See ya later, next time you look there I will be...gone.
Ed,
Ciao for niao.
BJ
Happy reunion day, blogatives! Beautiful picture to start the thread, uncle Ed. Hugs to everyone..
You forgot a vital part of the sea saga, ME (and mom).. there is a HAIR on the wart on the frog.. of course to house the flea!
Love to all
Barbara

Wow!!!!!

I just left for a few hours to play in the park. I thought of you guys while I was singing.

Good night everybody, I'll give you a new post tomorrow
Good Night All,
