Sept 1

Here is a little takeaway problem to start off September.

Here is a list of letters. All you have to do is to strike out five letters and you should have a word which is in an English dictionary.

A F P I O V E L L O E T G T I E R E S S

What a challenging way to start September's strand, Ed! I even misspelled the answer on my first attempt... sorry for the deletion.

APOLOGIES accepted, I hope.

Well, we are in the process of packing for our move to our new house (not far from where we live right now) and I am doing some serious purging so that there is less to move! I have found Grandpa's old manual SLR camera, which I learned on and used for many years. As our life stage has changed, I got an automatic SLR, and now have traded that in for a much simpler digital. Is anyone interested in Grandpa's manual? It comes with a few different lenses, and a newer flash that I bought, but I think it needs a tuneup before you can use it. Let me know!

Thanks for the post about Dad's camera, Holly. I'm going to pass on the offer but I appreciate having the chance to "snap it up".

Love, Louise

. . . A gift of WOOD is suggested for a fifth anniversary celebration. Wood is a strong image of life, growth and beauty. May your marriage reflect those same qualities and may your day be filled with joy.

Double cheers!
