It's getting hard to believe the blog is still going. I suppose if not for Louise it might not be, she just makes it easier for the rest of us to sit on our as...behinds and just read. I may be a fool, but today, at least I'm not an April fool.

Thanks for the April posting, Ed. If the truth be told, I could not keep up with blog greetings for special occasions without the aid of Bob's family calendar. David and I take it with us wherever we go in the world. It seems that there is always cause for celebration.
Now, I'm going to have to HUSTLE if I want to put in the first word today.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, MONA AND STEPHEN!
Congratulations! Our Book of Days suggests that a sixth anniversary may be celebrated with IRON or SUGAR.
The substances themselves are totally unrelated but perhaps the strength of the iron and the sweetness of the sugar are good descriptors of a happy marriage of six years.
We hope that you are already enjoying this Saturday celebration of your wedding anniversary. Here's to many more years of a strong, sweet union. Cheers!

HAPPY PAPER ANNIVERSARY, LINDSEY AND PATRICK!
At first glance PAPER seems like a strange choice of material for celebrating an anniversary of any sort.
Then when you look at the combination of fibres that go into making paper and consider the various forms and multiple uses of paper in our everyday lives, the images of blending and versatility fit nicely with the first year of married life.
Congratulations! We hope that your first year together is just the beginning of a long and happy marriage. Already the coming year holds much promise for you as a couple and as a family. Good luck in the days, weeks and months ahead of you. Cheers!

Hi Ed,
I like the answer that you have given for BJ's "issue" puzzle. I was tossing around the idea of an "outstanding issue". We'll have to see what she says.
With regard to a 2014 family reunion, news of that possibility had not yet reached this part of the grapevine. It has now, though, and we would be in favour of such a gathering.
