Happy May.
Once again the blog continues. Every time I think it's going to fizzle out, it gets new life, almost 100 entries last month. I didn't get much reaction from the reunion rumor I tried to fertilize. Of course the great majority of entries are from Louise and Betty Jo, which is great, if I was sitting in a room visiting with them the conversation would be much the same, I'd mostly do listening. Keeping visiting girls, I like it.
Love ed
P.S. I could save some time and space if I dropped that e on the end of love. Well, not a lot of space but a fair bit of time as I continue to use the hunt and peck method of typoing, and as you can see from "typing", my fingers are not all that accurate at pecking. If I laft all my mistakes in it I could save another twenty minutes, but then it would be a lot more difficult to read.

I really like the Loved. You are the only one of us that can do it. I think you should keep it.
Happy May to everyone. We have a glorious day with tulips blooming in the front yard and everything turning green.
Maybe you haven't had much feedback about the reunion because not everyone is reading the blog regularly.
Lovbj. See it doesn't work for anyone but ed.
We have also had a nice spring day in St. Andrews. Dave even managed to play a pretty good round of golf. The nights are still cold though and some of the more delicate plants in our garden are struggling.
lovlu. Yeh, I see what you mean BJ. Loved really works.
I love the May Opening. Ed, you are awesome, and your Loved can be taken two ways; as a sign off and as a fact...you are very loved.
BJ and Louise, you are right about Lovbj and Lovlu. Does Lovme work any better?
Lovme,

It works better Mary Ellen, but it isn't a single word like Ed's loved. Still, it is a great way to end your comment and you can be assured that we do love you.
Thanks BJ. I love this family!

Of course, she won't know what's going on but her presence is bound to make this day an especially memorable one for her 31 year-old mother. Congratulations!
Have a great day and a relaxing weekend. We wish you lots and lots of happy family times in the year ahead.

a dime went a long way. I could buy 3 jawbreakers for a penny, and an ice-cream cone cost a nickel. With the remaining 4 cents, I liked to buy 12 licorice babies. Sometimes I'd spent the whole dime on 2 bags of Sid's sunflower seeds.
On the other side of the coin, babysitting jobs paid 10 cents an hour.

Arrivederci!
Louise and David
Today David and I are back in St. Andrews after another wonderful trip to Italy.
The May 28th wedding was an unique experience for us. The day began at 10:00 am with an informal gathering for guests in a restaurant across from the church. That was followed by the wedding Mass at 11:00. By 1:00 we were all together again at a garden restaurant in the Friuli countryside. The multi-course meal went right through to 8:00. Between courses, we socialized, danced and walked around garden trails.
At the end of the day, the bride and groom gave a personal gift to each of their guests. Dave and I received a small wood and leather box and a hand towel featuring a cross-stitched panel done by the bride and her sister.
The following day, we were invited to have lunch with the Antonini Canterin family in their home. The newlyweds were there, too. On Monday Angela and Damiano flew to the Canary Islands for their honeymoon.
For five more days, David and I toured more of Italy, visiting Rimini on the Adriatic Sea, spending one afternoon in the Republic of San Marino and another in the fortress town of San Leo. ....and those are just the highlights! We filled every single day with new and exciting adventures with wonderful people.
Italy is definitely starting to feel like home to us.

Where is everybody?
I keep waiting for the June 1 blog.
But I am still here. We are having all the seasons at once in Ottawa. One day it was perfect spring, the next it was hot and humid (40 degrees with the humidex), the next cold with a freezing wind, and finally a cool perfect fall day. Right now we are back into summer.Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
We are glad to hear that you had such a good time in Italy, L & D., and look forward to seeing you when you get to Canada.
Hello?
Blurking but still here. I hope our host hasn't given up on us.
On the other hand, it would be kind of sweetly tragic if we just kept commenting for years and years under "May 1, 2011".
It's nice to hear from other blogatives. Ed's Edition does seem destined to run for years and years. It has already done so, no matter. Hurrah!
