The August long weekend.
Normally we would have been in Wakaw this weekend but circumstances changed our plans. It has been quite a weekend. Saturday, we attended the interment of Amanda Gunn's ashes at Riverside Cemetary in Regina. There was a terrific turn out for the celebration of her life and a great gathering at Ellen Gunn's after the service. On Sunday, Tricia and Marie graced our home with a visit and later in the day we received news of a new great niece, Camdyn Brielle Agopsowicz. Oh yeah, and I've added a new post to the blog.

This month is a big one for Johanne and me... we're moving from Texas to New York in two weeks.
There's a lot we'll miss about Texas. But we'll probably be able to survive without days like today (42 degC).

We are thrilled to have Luigi here with us and I will give him your greetings at breakfast in the morning. We are having a wonderful time together. The next thing he wants to do is come to Canada to meet family there. I think he will do it, too. He was thrilled to receive the brothers' reunion CD from Marty; he is eager to meet Vic and Don when they come in September; and he wants to start corresponding with Mary Ellen in Italian. I will give your special "hello" greeting to Luigi when he and Dave arrive home later this afternoon. Luigi is getting the full Scottish Golf experience as caddy for David on this wet and windy Sunday. He's not a golfer himself and this first time out on the course may well convince him that he never wants to be one. We'll see.
