Hi Edward, Thanks for getting us started on the month of July. It's always interesting to compare how much blog activity happens from month to month.
I'm sorry that the beauty of the park in Regina was spoiled for you by litterbugs. Everywhere we go in the world, litter is a problem, and we wonder why people don't take the time to put garbage in the containers that are provided.
We are pretty sure that your birthday will be made special by the joy that Norah and Simone bring to every single day of your life. Being in Regina with all the family will also add to the celebration of your 35th birthday. Make that the "icing on the cake"!
We want to send our congratulations and best wishes your way, too. Along with our toast to family and friends celebrating in the United States on this July 4th, we will also raise our glasses in honor of you on your birthday. Here's to your good health and to much happiness, always.
Congratulations on this day that marks the first quarter century of your life. We hope you are able to have a sparkling SILVER celebration with family and friends.
Here in St. Andrews we will mark the occasion with a toast to happy times we had here, first with you and Chantelle, and later with you and your Mom and Dad. Here's to the enjoyments of the past... to fun in the present... and to much happiness in the future. Cheers!
If you are listening to Paul McCartney's famous song today, the answer is YES! Congratulations on your 64th birthday.
Here in St. Andrews we are already enjoying a warm, sunny day. We send bright thoughts across the miles to you in Calgary. Hopefully, life has returned to normal for people in your area.
Whatever you choose to do today and however you decide to celebrate, we wish you the best of birthdays. Here's to LIFE!
We are already enjoying a warm, sunny Sunday in St. Andrews and you are in our thoughts on your 35th birthday. Congratulations!
We hope you and James have a terrific day, with Presley and Corson to share in the celebrations. Here's to your health and happiness today and to many more years of family fun.
Thanks, BJ, that's good enough for me. I still haven't heard whether Margaret has completed the occupations quiz. I'll keep you posted. Watch for a new quiz later today. Lucy
We don't even have to refer to our copy of the family calendar to remember your birthday OR your age. As you know, you celebrate on the same day as our son, Paul and you are the same age that Louise will be in 20 days. So....congratulations on your seventy-first birthday!
We'll be making a double toast this evening for sure. Here's to a happy Thursday celebration with family in Regina. We also wish you good health and happiness for many more years to come. Cheers!
We know that you are on the road today. Still we hope the going is good and the driving is easy as you celebrate turning 38.
We trust that our snail-mail greetings reached you in time for us to be present to you in a small way - through a card and a letter. When your work-week ends, we're sure that you'll find time to enjoy a round of golf on one of your favorite courses. We'll be with you in spirit. Enjoy!
Here's to you, Paul, with lots of love from Mom and Dad
Here's a fun quiz that I found in a charity shop on High Street in Dunblane. It's all about ANTS. That is...all the answers end in - ANT. Here are two examples: A baby ant...INFANT Snooty and superior...ARROGANT
The deadline is July 19.
1. This ant will not yield! 2. A French ant's breakfast 3. Abounding joy! 4. An enormous ant. 5. Can this ant foretell the future? 6. A rejoicing ant. 7. Immediate response from this ant. 8. A sophisticated ant. 9. Obviously...in your face. 10.A sweet-smelling ant. 11.Second in command. 12.A courageous ant. 13.A smelly ant may need this. 14.A sleepy, sleepy ant. 15.Barely there! 16.A hot, spicy ant. 17.Vivid, showy character. 18.A growing ant. 19.Ant marked by disrespectful levity. 20.A harsh, despotic ant. 21.Ant in a dither. 22.Out of control...running riot. 23.Luscious, green ant. 24.This ant shouldn't drown. 25.A bendy, flexy ant.
Best wishes on your 33rd birthday! The fact that it falls on a Saturday increases the party feel of the weekend.
We hope you have an especially happy birthday celebration with friends and family. Maybe you and Dustin can arrange to take Thomas for a dip in the new pool at Sonia's place?
Here in St. Andrews we will raise a wee dram in a toast to the fulfillment of your dreams, whatever they may be. May you enjoy many happy returns of this day.
BJ, I was preparing our professions quiz for mailing today when I saw the answer to #8 (I think). It is EDITOR - that is every second letter (the even ones) in sEeD lIsT fOr Root. What do you think?
Congratulations! You'll probably have to put in a full day's work before you can sit back and enjoy the fact that it's your birthday. You might even have to wait until the weekend to celebrate with family and friends.
Here in St. Andrews we are already enjoying TV coverage of the Open Championship at Muirfield. Later on, we'll pour ourselves a wee dram and drink a toast to your good health and happiness. Nothing is stopping us from celebrating your birthday from beginning to end. Cheers!
Your birthday is going to be more fun for the people who are celebrating with you today - Mom, Dad, Norah and all the family who are happy to see you turn ONE.
O ne year is N ow over and this is an E xciting day for your family.
Congratulations! Here you are, already one year beyond the GOLDEN celebration of your marriage to one another.
This fifty-first year is yet another milestone in your journey together. We hope it points to a long and straight road ahead for you. We know you well enough to see that you are certainly "enjoying the ride". May you continue to do so for several more happy years. Cheers!
Thanks for the greetings and good wishes. Yes, we are enjoying the ride--though not quite as energetically as we did in the early years. We are still very happy and hope for a few more years of togetherness!
We are sending you warm wishes from Scotland on this sunny July day. We have to admit that Victoria is probably an even nicer place to be at this time of year.
Anyway, enjoy your birthday, Shawn. You and Tina will probably have to wait until the end of your work day before you can light the candles and celebrate your 38th. Here's to your good health and happiness! May you enjoy many happy returns of this day.
Congratulations and warm wishes on your 19th wedding anniversary. We hope the weather in your part of the world is nicer than the rain and wind that we are experiencing here in St. Andrews.
We won't let the storm dampen our spirits, though, as we raise a toast to your good health and to many more years of happiness together. Enjoy this special day of celebration with your family. Cheers!
Today is also a special one for the Antonini Canterin family in Pordenone, Italy. Dad's cousins (twins), Antonio and Silvano are 84 years old today.
Silvano became a grandfather this year when his daughter, Angela gave birth to a girl, Sofia, on April 20th. Now Antonio's son, Francesco and his wife are expecting a baby, too. So...life goes on, and there is always cause for celebration.
Happy Birthday Louise. I hope this one is one of your best birthdays ever. Thanks for keeping the blog alive. I check it every day, even though I don't often leave a message. There is such a strong sense of family on the blog and I love being a part of that. Love and best wishes, Mary Ellen and Bob xoxoxo
Thanks for the birthday greetings, BJ and Bob and Mary Ellen and Bob, I found your wishes here on the blog at the end of a delightful birthday.
A friend and I had just arrived home from an overnight trip to Inverness, down Loch Ness to Fort William and back through the highlands of Glencoe. It was one of those unplanned happenings that make for wonderful memories.
Back here in St. Andrews, my neighbour, Peggy, had baked me one of her special cakes. She and Margaret came by with it and with their personal greetings and gifts. Talk about the perfect ending to a wonderful day!
Yes, Mary Ellen, it could well be one of my best birthdays ever.
Your anniversary is easy for us to remember because we share this August First date with you. Congratulations on your 26th.
We'll be raising a celebratory toast for ourselves, for you and for Amy and Cory who were also married on this day. 43, 26 and 4 add up to 73 years of marriage. Nice number, eh?
So here's to many more happy returns of this day for those of us who share it as a wedding anniversary. Cheers!
Congratulations on your 4th wedding anniversary. It is our 43rd and Christine and Ron's 26th. We'll be pouring ourselves a triple scotch for a celebratory toast in honor of you, Chris and Ron and ourselves.
Have a really great day today with family and friends. We wish you many more happy returns of this day.
You could call this "SAPPHIRE SATURDAY" as you celebrate 45 years of marriage today. Congratulations!
Our Book of Days suggests that the deep blue sapphire stone would make a good gift on such a special occasion. It can also symbolize the depth, value and truth of a union that has stood the test of time.
Enjoy your anniversary celebration with family and friends. Here's to many happy returns of this day. Cheers!
It's hard to believe that Ed's Edition has been going for six years - since March 2007. It was a great family forum in the run-up to our August 2007 Reunion, and I'm sure it's going to be the same for next year's gathering.
Anticipation is part of the fun. In fact, I'm already in party mode. Lucy
It is not likely that you will read our blog greeting but maybe your mom or Thomas will pass it on to you.
Anyway, congratulations on your 24th birthday. We hope we get to meet you someday - maybe at a family reunion (hint, hint)? In the meantime, we'll be raising a toast to your good health and happiness today. May you enjoy many joyful returns of this special occasion.
I have some quiz results to report. I missed the entry deadline for the sibling quiz but Margaret has given me a copy of the answer key. We had different responses for #16. Luke Skywalker and for #23. Corin Redgrave but we were still correct. For #16, we named Kol Skywalker and the key had Princess Leia. For #23, we put Lynn Redgrave while the key named Vanessa.
In the Dog Quiz we missed #1. Old fashioned laundry aid. We answered BLUE but the correct answer was PULI. We also got wrong #20. Dog that ends the race. Our ALASKAN HUSKY should have been a FINNISH SPITZ. A woman in Edinburgh won the prize for that quiz.
Signing on for the first time in a long time so I know I am ready to stay on top of reunion news. Thanks to those who've kept this going over the years and making it so easy to return to.
Hello everyone. I think I've reset my password and am ready to get back on here. Like Marty, this is my test. Also belated birthday greetings to Louise who always remembers all of us on our special days and belated anniversary greetings to Louise & Dave who share the same date with us. (-:hristine
Thanks Christine, My birthday was lots of fun as I toured the highlands with a friend from my Port Alice days.
Our anniversary was also very good. Our neighbour, Peggy (90), baked us one of her homemade coffee cakes which we shared with our Canadian visitors. It was delicious!
Enid's daughter, Tegen, remarked that she could "almost taste the love" that went into making the cake for us. I was so surprised by her comment that I told her about some of the "special ingredients" that went into Mom's rice krispie cakes, making them the best ever. She always stirred in a good measure of LOVE. Remember?
Just thought I would kick this off by saying: For Saturday, at Campion College, I will be ready to entertain for the day and have my sound system ready to go, with plenty of microphones, for any activities we come up with.
Sounds great, Marty. Thanks. I think you'll have lots of people who will get up and entertain with you. I will be among the listeners. I can hardly wait! Louise
Hi Everyone, It's great to see some of the family back on the blog. What a great way to keep up to date on what's happening with the reunion. Chris, you and the Regina family are totally wonderful in your willingness to organize and plan and make the arrangements. Marty, your generosity with your time and talent is remarkable. How lucky we all are! I see that some of the out-of-towners are also pitching in with different jobs. What do you need me to do? I'm willing to help from a distance. With anticipation, ME xoxo
Hi All, Glad to see the return of more bloggers. Thanks to the Regina team for the organization and planning of the reunion. Also a huge thanks to Marty for donating himself and his entertainment expertise so generously. We look forward to a lot of fun and excitement. BJ
Hi bloggers and blurkers, If you have not yet moved on to Ed's August 2013 entry, it's time to do so now. Just click on the heading Post a Comment On: Ed's Edition (at the top of this page) and that should take you back to his home page. Good Luck. See you over there soon.

Hello everyone. I think I've reset my password and am ready to get back on here. Like Marty, this is my test. Also belated birthday greetings to Louise who always remembers all of us on our special days and belated anniversary greetings to Louise & Dave who share the same date with us.

Thanks Christine,
My birthday was lots of fun as I toured the highlands with a friend from my Port Alice days.
Remember?

Hey family
Just thought I would kick this off by saying: For Saturday, at Campion College, I will be ready to entertain for the day and have my sound system ready to go, with plenty of microphones, for any activities we come up with.
Love,
Marty
Sounds great, Marty. Thanks. I think you'll have lots of people who will get up and entertain with you. I will be among the listeners. I can hardly wait!
Louise
Hi Everyone,
It's great to see some of the family back on the blog.
With anticipation,
ME xoxo
Hi All,
Glad to see the return of more bloggers. Thanks to the Regina team for the organization and planning of the reunion. Also a huge thanks to Marty for donating himself and his entertainment expertise so generously. We look forward to a lot of fun and excitement.

Hi bloggers and blurkers,
If you have not yet moved on to Ed's August 2013 entry, it's time to do so now. Just click on the heading Post a Comment On: Ed's Edition (at the top of this page) and that should take you back to his home page. Good Luck.
See you over there soon.
Luv Lucy
