It almost slipped by. I actually wasn't thinking about posting until I logged on and had to scroll for a bit to get to the final entry. Then I remembered I have to keep this thing fairly current. So happy September everybody.

Well, the blog is off to a good start in the month of September. Hi, everyone.
Even though we're not getting any Canadian football coverage here in Scotland, we're cheering for the green and white. It's good to hear that the Riders are doing well.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, BONNIE AND ROBERT!
Maybe you can picture us here in our St. Andrews home, pouring ourselves a wee dram and raising our glasses high in an anniversary toast to you.
We'll recall happy times here with you and in your own home in Regina. The miles between us cannot keep us from being with you on this special occasion.
So. . . here's to your happiness, good health and prosperity. May you get to celebrate many more years together, always drawing closer to one another in love. Cheers!
Congratulations and lots of love,
Louise and David

Hi everyone. Cheering for the Roughriders here in Ottawa, too. Way to go, Riders.
Yes. Happy anniversary Bonnie & Rob. Thanks for the reminder, Louise. It brings back good memories about how Robert "came with the house" when Ron & I moved into 1140 in August of that year. It was fun having a "5th boy" live with us for a month but thanks for taking him, Bonnie! LOL (-:
And Lucy is laughing, Christine!
I'll tell you a secret about removing repeat entries on the blog. Only you (or Ed) can delete your own. After the date and time on the bottom line of your comment, you'll see a little garbage pail. Click on it and you will be asked if you really want to delete the comment. Just follow instructions from there on.
Sometimes when I'm posting, my comment comes up twice. I like to get rid of one copy of it.
Unfortunately, other bloggers will see a notice that a comment has been removed. In the early days of the blog, I think it was Thomas who asked about deletions. I think he wondered if someone was censoring the content of the blog. We all know that is not the case.
Anything goes on Ed's Edition!

BJ

You mean, "We're so clever, together"--sounds like a Beatle song doesn't it?
That was fun!
BJ
Of course, that's what I meant, BJ. I didn't think I would be able to answer any more than 2 or 3 of these clues. The quiz ended up being lots of fun for me after all. It seems that one person's answers inspire others to give it a try. Christine got us off to a quick start with HELP and WHEN I'M 64.
I like the new title, too. Oh ya...we are so clever, together.
LOL, Lucy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRYEN!
We always think it's nice when a birthday falls on a Sunday. For most people it is already a special day of the week. One more reason to celebrate makes it all the better.
This particular weekend also commemorates the 600th birthday of St. Andrews University so we are really in party mode today.
Anyway, Bryen, we send congratulations and warm wishes to you across the miles. We hope you and Carmen are enjoying the company of family and friends in Ottawa. Here's to a really great day and to another year of good health, happiness and prosperity.
Cheers and lots of love,
Louise and David

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, ABBY AND JOSHUA!
Our Book of Days suggests a gift of pottery on a ninth anniversary. When you think of the work and care that goes into shaping a single piece of pottery, it is probably a suitable symbol of a marriage, no matter how long a couple has been together.
Today, we wish you a wonderful time of remembering the past, enjoying the present and planning for the future. Here's to a long and happy marriage!
Cheers and lots of love,
Louise and David

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, JAMIE AND CHRIS!
Mathematicians love the number 9. It has a magical quality about it that surprises and fascinates us whether we're adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing.
So, maybe a ninth anniversary should be as magical as the number nine. Wouldn't that be nice? We certainly wish you an especially happy day today. May you enjoy many happy returns of this special occasion in your marriage to one another.
Cheers, greetings and love,
Louise and David

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PENNY!
Congratulations! The comedian, Jack Benny, liked being 39 so much that he claimed every birthday he celebrated after that was still his 39th.
We'd like to think that today's birthday could be that special for you, too - maybe the best celebration ever.
Anyway, we join your friends and others in the family in wishing you a happy 39th birthday. May the year ahead be a good one for you and for the people who are closest to you.
Cheers and lots of love,
Louise and David

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHANNON!
Here in St. Andrews, your birthday is already over but you'll still be celebrating it in eastern Canada. We were out at a party ourselves earlier tonight to mark the playing of this year's Dunhill Cup. We took a minute to raise a birthday toast in honor of you.
We hope you've had a nice day so far. May the coming year be a good one and may you get to enjoy many happy returns of this special occasion. Cheers!
Love and warm wishes,
Louise and David

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAMES!
Well, we have spent your birthday visiting the only winery and the oldest distillery in Scotland. We are already in celebration mode as we raise a toast in honour of your 37th birthday.
We know that Christine, Presley and Corson will make the day special for you. Have a wonderful time today and look forward to many more such occasions that you will get to share with family and friends down the years.
