Hi there! Yes, we are already a few days into the month of October and all I can say is "How did that happen? Halloween here we come, as if on jet-powered brooms.
Congratulations are definitely in order when you reach a milestone like this one - forty-two years of married life.
As in every other journey, together you have had to face the unexpected and weather storms. You've had delights and disappointments; highs and lows. And it seems to us that you love one another all the more for what you have achieved as a couple, as parents and as grandparents. You are an inspiration!
You can be sure that we'll be raising a toast in your honour today. Here's to happy memories of paths already traveled... to easy steps on roads you are currently negotiating... and to wings on your feet for all that lies ahead. (and we hope Scotland is included in your itinerary.) Cheers!
I've got a quiz for us to research. It's called "Proper Charleys". The answers are famous people called Charles or a derivation of that name.
The quiz is sponsored by Ladybank Primary School and our answers must be in by October 31.
1. First person to fly solo from USA to Europe 2. First person to break the sound barrier 3. His screen persona was 'the tramp' 4. French singer who had a hit with 'She' in 1974 5. We won't have to go looking for all the answers. Let's get the ones we know first and divvy up what's left over.
It's an overcast day in St. Andrews but thoughts of you will brighten this Saturday for us. We hope your day in Toronto is the perfect combination of setting, weather, people and celebration.
This evening we are going to drink one of those celebratory toasts that we enjoy so much. Here's to another full and happy year for you - one that affirms that you're "all the more at 54!"
Oops, I missed the new thread, and just twigged to it today.
Thanks for leaving the music ones for me, Lucy. 2. Chuck Yeager 4 Charles Asnavour (Spelling?) 8. Ray Charles 10. Charlie Watts 14. Charlie Parker 23. Charlie Drake We may have to look up the others; I don't know any of the other answers.
It's nice to start off the week with a special celebration. It takes the blue out of Monday!
You will probably have to put in a full day at work before you get to share your festive cake with family and friends. We're sure that Thomas will happily help you blow out those 36 candles.
Here in St. Andrews we are already enjoying a splendid fall day in the Kingdom of Fife. We hope your day in Regina is just as bright and joyful. Here's to a grand 2014 birthday celebration and to many happy returns of this day.
It's very early in the morning here in St. Andrews and already our thoughts have traveled across the world to Regina where you are celebrating 37 years of life. We hope this is one of the best birthdays ever for you.
We know that your colleagues, friends and family will be greeting you throughout the day. We join all of them in wishing you joy in the present moment and many happy returns of this day.(And we're hoping that you don't turn 38 before you come to share a bit of Scotland with us.) Cheers!
Lots of love, Louise and David **37**37**37**37**37**37**37**37**37**37**37**
I find myself wishing we had even more birthdays just so that I could enjoy more of your beautiful writing, Louise! And it's probably rude to hope that perhaps Halloween may bring an adventure that you could share with us, Ed. It's hard to believe our reunion was only 2 months ago. I miss all of you! Love (-:hristine
Well, thank you, Christine! We're missing you, too. And this year we won't even be in Canada for the family's pre-Christmas gathering. Thank goodness for the abundance of August's reunion experience!
Me too. I love checking the blog to see what's being said. There is always something wonderful. It's a great place to come and to feel connected! Thank you.
I know what you mean about feeling connected. Ed's Edition has been going for almost 8 years. It's a piece of our history now. And on days like this I discover that people are still dropping in on the action. Hi, Folks!
Thanks again, Christine. The pre-Christmas gathering has become a highlight of the year for us whenever we have been close enough to Regina to attend. We know from experience that it be another good party this year. Enjoy!
I have been reading the blog as much as I can. I too love the Lucy birthday wishes and games you guys play etc. I don't write much but I love to check in with you from time to time and I must say that I am moved...always. I need to acknowledge my wonderful sisters. they are so loving and good to us. I need to visit all of you and thank you for being my sisters...and brothers. I love and miss you all. Marty
It's sure nice to hear from you, Marty. Another month is drawing to a close. It feels good to end it with a whole bunch reminders about how much we are loved. Cheers!
Greetings from us in St. Andrews where the weather on your mid-week birthday is cold but bright. We're sending the warmest of thoughts to you in Ontario on this special day.
You and Abby will probably have to wait until you get home from work to celebrate. Still, we hope your birthday is off to a good start and that you are already receiving happy wishes from friends and family.
Here's to the year that has ended and to all the joy it brought you. We hope the coming months are every bit as wonderful. May you enjoy good health and happiness at every turn.
Hey Marty. A visit would be so much fun and you wouldn't believe how fun Scotland is! If you like castles and stone circles and golfing and lots of cheer, it can't be beaten. In the meantime, your visits to the blog are fun and appreciated too! Love (-:hristine
Your birthday always gets the month of November off to a happy start. We don't really need an excuse to pour ourselves a wee dram but we gladly make it a double when it's time to drink a celebratory toast.
Today we're raising our glasses in honor of you. With any luck, you are already having a good Saturday celebration. We join family and friends in wishing you much joy in the moment and many happy returns of this day in your life.
Unfortunately we need to reach out again to everyone. For prayers. Trcia's battle with leukemia continues and she definately has the upper hand. Unfortunately she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will need everyone's support again. Although it has been determined that the cancer is invasive, and the normal treatment is not necessarily the best because of her history, she believes a positive approach and the prayers of many will be her best chance. Thank you for the support! Lui
Dear Lui, We cannot even describe the impact of this news about Tricia, but a wave of denial certainly hit us hard at first reading.
In response to Tricia's own spirit, we are determined not to waste another minute on negativity. We will send only positive energy her way and will shower you, Marie and your family with healing thoughts and prayers. You have our daily and constant support.
We are also sending lots of love and positive energy your way this morning. Tricia, you and your family will be constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Love and Prayers, Christine and Ron
Our Book of Days suggests a gift of LACE for a thirteenth wedding anniversary. A fabric of such beauty, design and durability seems a good fit for a marriage of 13 years. Congratulations!
Sadie, Carmen and Evan are sure to be celebrating this special day with the two of you. When you have children, an anniversary is a happy family occasion. Enjoy today's celebrations. Here's to an other good year together. Cheers!
It is a very cold November morning here in St. Andrews. Still, we are pleased to be sending the warmest of wishes to you on your birthday. Maybe the weather in Ontario has something bright in store for you today. We hope so.
No matter what, we hope you are already having the best of birthdays. May the greetings of family and friends lift your spirits and make your heart sing. And here's to many more such happy celebrations in your life. Cheers!
Well, it's Guy Fawkes Day here in the UK. There will be lots of fireworks tonight. Dave and I joke about all the special effects that we're able to add to the celebration of your November 5th birthday. The sky lights up as we raise a toast to you. It happens every year.
We think there will likely be lots of fun happening for you in Regina, too. Your whole family is there and we've noticed that they celebrate your presence in their lives every day of the year, never mind doing something special on your birthday.
Have a good day, Tony . Here's to this one and to many more.
Today, David and I are remembering Mom with lots of love. She believed in the power of prayer and I, for one, relied on her backing. I cannot even count the number of times that I knew Mom was praying for me.
Tricia has her doctor's appointment this morning. If you're dropping in on the blog, Lui and Marie, just know that we are thinking of you, too, as you wait for word on what lies ahead for your amazing daughter.
It's a SAPPHIRE Saturday for you as you celebrate your 45th wedding anniversary. Congratulations!
Today we are sending greetings from Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands off Scotland's north coast. This afternoon we hope to taste the spirits at Scotland's most northern distillery - Highland Park. We'll make that a toast to you on this special day. May your 45th be a gem of a celebration. Cheers!
It's a GOLDEN birthday celebration for you on this November Sunday. You've been in our thoughts as we've been making our way home from the Orkney Islands off Scotland's north coast.
We watched the sun rise over Kirkland on the islands and saw it set over Perth on the mainland. Tonight we are home in St. Andrews enjoying a glass of red wine in a toast to you.
We hope you are having as glorious a day in Ontario as we have had in Scotland today. Yours is a 50th birthday we will long remember. May it be one of the best ever for you. Cheers!
Congratulations on your GOLDEN birthday. Of course, the eleventh hour remembrances of this November day are foremost in the minds of people around the world.
On the other hand, celebrating a birthday on the 11th must also emphasize the freedoms we all enjoy because of those who fought to protect them.
We hope you and Veronica are able to take time to make this golden birthday an extra-special one. We also wish you many happy returns of this day.
Greetings from St. Andrews in Scotland! We often wonder how someone like you, with the eye of an artist could ever choose what to focus on in our beautiful surroundings. You, who are drawn to the color and texture of a piece of fruit would have a feast on the shores of East Sands.
Today we are savoring it all with you in mind. We wish you a day of beauty and inspiration for this mid-week celebration of your 52nd birthday. Here's to another good year and to many more like it.
We hope your mid-week celebration is already underway in Ontario. We are quite sure that Tess will be adding to the fun of this day for you. A Mother's birthday is often a time for cute and creative expressions of love and thanks.
We're about ready to raise a toast of our own, to your enjoyment on this special day. We add our best wishes to those of family and friends as you turn 38. Here's to your good health and to much happiness in the days, weeks and months ahead. Cheers!
Wow! I just dropped in to see if anyone had been visiting this blog. It surprised me to see so many contributors and so many entries. I'm still recovering from the reunion, or trying to. I got together with Tony and Rob last week, that was great. I think of all of you quite often. My family has Tricia in our thoughts and prayers always. Louise and Dave, thank you for the anniversary wishes. We continue to walk our paths and it is in our plans to walk a few in Scotland in 2015.
It is so nice to visit with all of you on the blog
Hi, Loved! Thanks for dropping in on the blog for a quick visit. We are happy to hear that your 2015 trip to Scotland is still a possibility. We'll be waiting for you!
Unfortunately, Dave and I won't get to Regina for this year's pre-Christmas gathering. Our flight from Venice to Vancouver is booked for December 22. We'll barely make it to Peachland for Christmas. We hope someone will post an e-picture of the ugliest sweater that is worn to the Regina event. You guys in sure know how to throw a good party.
Love to you and all your family. Have a very good day today.
Wonderful to have you back on the Blog. Does anyone completely recover after a reunion? You and Deanie were a huge part in making it such a success. Thank you again. We think of you often and miss you all like mad. Sigh.....
November is certainly a month of celebrations for you and your family. We hope your week is off to the best of starts on your Monday birthday.
Here in St. Andrews we are looking out at a blustery fall day. We'll probably stay indoors and add a little warmth to the occasion by raising a toast to you at 42. Hi to Shannon, Sadie, Carmen and Evan too, on this special day in your household. Here's to many more such happy family times.
Today is the day that Tricia's surgery will happen in Calgary. Across the world, family and friends are supporting her and her medical team. She knows that.
Now, we want to let you feel our love as well. As parents ourselves, we don't know how you are getting through the hours, minutes and seconds of this day. You are doing so with courage, of course, in the front line of Tricia's army. Please know that we are with you every step of the way. Take good care of yourselves and of one another.
Now I need some assistance to complete another quiz before the November 30 deadline. I've done 12 on my own so I'll post just the Proverbs and Similes I need from you. A number in brackets indicates how many letters there are in the missing word.
3. Cut your (4) according to your (5). 11. As keen as (7). 13. One man's (4) is another man's (6). 14. A (4) is as good as a (4). 16. You can't make an (8) without (8) eggs. 17. As plain as a (9). 19. Procrastination is the (5) of (4). 20. As (7) as clockwork. 21. As rich as (7). 22. Speech is (6), but (7) is golden. 23. As silent as the (5). 24. It is better to (6) hopefully than to (6). 25. A bad (7) (6) his tools.
Thanks! Lucy
PS: Margaret won the earlier quiz about Proper Charleys!
Thanks, BJ There were a couple of them that I could get one word but not the other. I still don't know what #14 is but I think the second word might be REST.
I think so, too, but the only idiom I know is A change is a s good as a rest. Do you think the 4 letters for the first word is a typo? Is that the only one we are missing.
I have to tell a funny story about a cold call I received yesterday. The phone rang about mid-morning and I answered it on the run. I could hear the buzz of background conversations taking place in a call center.
A young man asked me hesitantly, "Am I speaking to a lousie butcher?"
Yes BJ, all the ones I did on my own were well-known ones like "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" and "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". It was easier for me to fill in those answers than to type out the obvious clues.
"A miss is as good as a mile"? It sounds very familiar, although we have a relatively new overpass in town at the Lewvan Drive which is one turn past the Albert street overpass. We use Lewvan because there are less lights. One day I was zipping home and didn't realize I had passed under the Albert street pass (Duh) so just ripped under the Lewvan as well. So, when there was no more underpass I realized I had missed my turn, which was by about a mile. Yeah, maybe that's it.
Well, I looked up (and found) an explanation on line but I like Ed's illustration of "A miss is as good as a mile" better. It's good for a laugh, and that's good for me.
Our Book of Days makes this your PEARL Anniversary. Congratulations!
A pearl is a thing of beauty that is not found by everyone who searches for it. It is a jewel that takes time to form, and its perfection hides all that goes into achieving its durability and shine.
You are a pearl of a couple, and we wish you a gem of a day today. Here's to joy, laughter and love for many more years to come. Cheers!
You are not likely to be dropping in to read our greetings on Ed's Edition. Perhaps someone in the family will pass them on to you. No matter what, we will be raising one of our birthday toasts to your good health and happiness. Cheers!
Enjoy this November 25th celebration which reminds all of us that Christmas is exactly a month away. We wish you the best of all good things today and throughout the coming year.
Congratulations to you on your 35th birthday. Dave is still talking about the round of golf he played with you and Dennis at the August reunion. He enjoyed it so much that I wish I'd been there, too. (I'm actually a very good caddy.)
Anyway, Luke, when we raise a birthday toast to you today, we'll be recalling our latest, brief reunion moments spent with you and Shannon. Maybe the two of you will put St. Andrews at the top of a list of places to visit? Today, we salute that possibility. Cheers!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY to family members who are celebrating in the USA today. You know who you are. We're thinking of you and are joining you now in giving thanks for all that you hold dear.
Here in Scotland we are celebrating the feast of St. Andrew today. We've decided to dedicate all the excitement to you on your 19th birthday. Congratulations!
Here goes! There will be a parade featuring a marching band, dressed in kilts and playing the bagpipes. Highland dancers will do a fling in the town square. The Christmas lights will be turned on for the first time this year, giving a magical feel to this old, grey town.
It's party time, Alexander. Have a happy, happy day.
You already know that we are not going to be able to make a December 2 blog posting. It is hard to imagine being anywhere without Internet access nowadays but that will be our reality tomorrow.
That won't stop us from raising a birthday toast in your honor. You will be in our thoughts as we visit with some of Dave's family in Poole on the south coast of England.
Here's to beautiful you at twenty-two! Have a very happy day and another satisfying year. Cheers!
Yours is a birthday that we remember as easily as we do our own. Dave especially enjoys the fact that he shares this birth date with you, even though he's five years older.
A Sunday celebration is sure to include the whole family, as you gather for brunch after church. We know that you'll be right at the center of all the fun and excitement. You deserve a top-notch day as one of the best in every category - grandmother, mother, wife, aunt, sister, sister-in-law and friend.
We'll be raising our own birthday toast to wish you good health and much happiness today and throughout the coming year. Cheers!
This is a quite an occasion for Dad's brother, Eric, who is 90 years old today. We're thinking of him and his family as they celebrate his continuing presence in their lives.
It seems a little silly to be posting wishes on the blog when we are celebrating together here in St. Andrews.
The morning has already dawned bright and sunny. Warm wishes are in from family and friends. Peggy has baked a birthday cake to mark this special day and all is well. May the whole year be just as promising. Cheers!
Far from silly. A wonderful way to let us all in on your celebrations and one more opportunity for us all to remember and share one of the many special days we all enjoy on the blog! Love, Thanks & Happy Birthday David from Ron & Christine.
Congratulations on your second wedding anniversary. Your darling Sydney is there to share this one with you. How could this be anything but the happiest of days for you as parents, filled with love for her and as a couple, building a future together?
Our Book of Days suggests a gift of cotton on a second anniversary. That material is durable, versatile and practical - with qualities that could easily stand for those found in a strong and lasting marriage. May you enjoy many joyful returns of this special day. Cheers!
We know that your birthday celebration with friends happened last night. Sunday with family should be the perfect end to your weekend. Have a terrific day!
As you know, we are starting our latest round of travel today. After a relaxing Sunday night in Glasgow, we will board an early-morning plane to Trieste via London. Luigi will meet us at the airport on Monday evening and we will begin a week of visits with family and friends in Pordenone.
Wherever we are in our travels, you, Melissa, Bjorn and Sarafina will be in our thoughts in a special way. May you get to celebrate many more such happy occasions together.
We are posting your December 20th wishes today because we just don't know whether we'll have access to the Internet next Saturday. Luigi is happy to let us use his computer but we can't count on being in the right place at the right time.
Congratulations on your 74th birthday celebration. The Saturday before Christmas is bound to be a bit hectic but we know you'll find that quiet time to enjoy your special day. We'll be thinking of you in our travels.
It's mid-afternoon on your birthday and we are only now posting this blog greeting. We hope your day has been great so far and that it will end up being perfect in every way.
Right now we are in our Peachland apartment where the cable company has finally set up our Internet service. It's good to know that we are reconnected with family and friends around the world.
We are making it a number one priority to wish you a very happy birthday. Here's to many more of the same!
Cheers and lots of love, Louise and David **33**33**33**33**33**33**33**33**33**33**33**
Congratulations on your 70th birthday! A gift of quartz is suggested to mark such a milestone. Where there is quartz, there is gold, precious and treasured, just like you.
Have a terrific day as you enter yet another exciting decade of your life. We wish you good health and all the happiness that can possibly come your way in the year ahead of you.
Thank you the wonderful birthday wishes. 70 is feeling great!
QUOTE OF THE DAY: There is always a lot to be thankful for, if you take the time to look. For example, I'm sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt. ~Author Unknown
Congratulations on your 40th birthday. Such an occasion in life is considered a RUBY one, so we wish you a gem of a day that is sparkling, colorful and lots of fun.
We know that your family will make this day special for you. We join them in toasting your beauty, goodness and well-being at 40. May the decade you begin today be filled with the best of everything that life has to offer.

I find myself wishing we had even more birthdays just so that I could enjoy more of your beautiful writing, Louise! Well, thank you, Christine! We're missing you, too. And this year we won't even be in Canada for the family's pre-Christmas gathering. Thank goodness for the abundance of August's reunion experience!
Ditto to everything Chris said. I check the Blog daily and love both the wonderful birthday greetings and the perilous exploits of Loved.
BJ
Hi, Folks!
The Christmas party won't be the same without you Louise & Dave.
PS you will be missed!!!
Thanks again, Christine. The pre-Christmas gathering has become a highlight of the year for us whenever we have been close enough to Regina to attend. We know from experience that it be another good party this year. Enjoy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOSHUA!
Cheers and lots of love,
Louise and David

Hey Marty. A visit would be so much fun and you wouldn't believe how fun Scotland is! If you like castles and stone circles and golfing and lots of cheer, it can't be beaten. In the meantime, your visits to the blog are fun and appreciated too! Love (-:hristine
Trick or treat!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHAEL!
Cheers and lots of love,
Louise and David

Unfortunately we need to reach out again to everyone. For prayers.
Trcia's battle with leukemia continues and she definately has the upper hand.
Unfortunately she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and will need everyone's support again.
Although it has been determined that the cancer is invasive, and the normal treatment is not necessarily the best because of her history, she believes a positive approach and the prayers of many will be her best chance.
Thank you for the support!
Lui
Dear Lui,
We cannot even describe the impact of this news about Tricia, but a wave of denial certainly hit us hard at first reading.
In response to Tricia's own spirit, we are determined not to waste another minute on negativity. We will send only positive energy her way and will shower you, Marie and your family with healing thoughts and prayers. You have our daily and constant support.
Love you lots,
Louise and David
We are also determined to send affirmative and healing prayers your way. We will hold all of you constantly in our hearts and thoughts.
Love and support,
BJ and Bob
We are also sending lots of love and positive energy your way this morning. Tricia, you and your family will be constantly in our thoughts and prayers.
Love and Prayers,
Christine and Ron
Bob and I also send our love and prayers. You are deep in our hearts.
Lots of love,
Mary Ellen and Bob xoxo

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, SHANNON AND ANDRY!
Cheers!
Lots of love,
Louise and David

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MICHELE!
Cheers!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TONY!
Lots of love,
Louise and David

Today, David and I are remembering Mom with lots of love. She believed in the power of prayer and I, for one, relied on her backing. I cannot even count the number of times that I knew Mom was praying for me.
It's Louise here, just saying thanks again!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Tricia has her doctor's appointment this morning. If you're dropping in on the blog, Lui and Marie, just know that we are thinking of you, too, as you wait for word on what lies ahead for your amazing daughter.
Love and prayers,
Louise and David
We are praying for you Tricia.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, CAROL AND TONY!
Cheers!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MONA!
Cheers!
Warm wishes and lots of love,
Louise and David

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GILLES!
Cheers!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHANNE!
Cheers and lots of love,
Louise and David

We hope your mid-week celebration is already underway in Ontario. We are quite sure that Tess will be adding to the fun of this day for you. A Mother's birthday is often a time for cute and creative expressions of love and thanks.
We're about ready to raise a toast of our own, to your enjoyment on this special day. We add our best wishes to those of family and friends as you turn 38. Here's to your good health and to much happiness in the days, weeks and months ahead.
Cheers!

I'm sure missing Loved!
Me, too. Where are you Loved? Have you fallen off a roof?
BJ xo
I'm looking for Loved, too. If you're still counting steps, walk this way, please.
Lucy
Loved
Cheers, Louise
Hi Loved,
Wonderful to have you back on the Blog. Does anyone completely recover after a reunion? You and Deanie were a huge part in making it such a success. Thank you again. We think of you often and miss you all like mad. Sigh.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANDRY!
Cheers, love and warm wishes,
Louise and David

Dear Marie and Lui,
Today is the day that Tricia's surgery will happen in Calgary.
Love you lots,
Louise and Dave
Early this morning, when we checked for news of Tricia, we were delighted to find a post-op one-liner written by herself on Tricia's Tides.
She was reporting to the troops barely 5 hours after surgery! What can we say? She is amazing.

25. WORKMAN; ?
3. COAT CLOTH
21. CROESUS
23. GRAVE
24. TRAVEL ARRIVE
25. WORKMAN BLAMES
Thanks, BJ
There were a couple of them that I could get one word but not the other. I still don't know what #14 is but I think the second word might be REST.
Lucy
I think so, too, but the only idiom I know is A change is a s good as a rest. Do you think the 4 letters for the first word is a typo? Is that the only one we are missing.
I have to tell a funny story about a cold call I received yesterday. The phone rang about mid-morning and I answered it on the run. I could hear the buzz of background conversations taking place in a call center.
A young man asked me hesitantly, "Am I speaking to a lousie butcher?"
I said, "What did you call me?"
He repeated, "Lousie Butcher"
I hung up.
Oh, dear, I much prefer Lucy!
Yes BJ, all the ones I did on my own were well-known ones like "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" and "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder". It was easier for me to fill in those answers than to type out the obvious clues.
Good thinking!
About both the well-known idioms (adages or whatever they are) and the lousy phone call.
Hey, BJ, I spoke to Margaret about the one quiz answer we were missing. She says, "A miss is as good as a mile." Job done!
I've never heard that one. You learn something new every day. Thanks.
Have a great day
Loved
Ahh...that explains it.
Thanks, Loved.
Well, I looked up (and found) an explanation on line but I like Ed's illustration of "A miss is as good as a mile" better. It's good for a laugh, and that's good for me.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, KELLY AND LEN!
Cheers!
Lots of love,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LUKE!
Cheers!
Warm wishes and lots of love,

Here in Scotland we are celebrating the feast of St. Andrew today. We've decided to dedicate all the excitement to you on your 19th birthday. Congratulations!
Here goes! There will be a parade featuring a marching band, dressed in kilts and playing the bagpipes. Highland dancers will do a fling in the town square. The Christmas lights will be turned on for the first time this year, giving a magical feel to this old, grey town.
It's party time, Alexander. Have a happy, happy day.

EARLY BIRTHDAY WISHES, CHRISTINE!

Cheers!

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS, DAVID!
It seems a little silly to be posting wishes on the blog when we are celebrating together here in St. Andrews.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, TINA AND SHAWN!
Cheers!

Wherever we are in our travels, you, Melissa, Bjorn and Sarafina will be in our thoughts in a special way. May you get to celebrate many more such happy occasions together.
