Yesterday we would have been sending warm greetings from Palm Springs. Instead, our wishes are coming to you from our mountain-side home in snowy Peachland.

Of course, I know that a trip to Calgary always brings Regina to your minds as a possibility but this time of the year is the worst time to do it. We pretty much don't drive outside the city for 4 or 5 months of the year. They say "You know you're Canadian when you measure distance in hours". I admire you guys for travelling over the Rockies to visit your children - again - especially in dead of winter. The thought terrifies me! It's just comforting to know you are so close! And memories of August help a lot too!!! Love (-:hristine
We really got lucky, Christine. The mountain roads were bare and dry and the weather was spring-like. It was one of our best trips from the Okanagan Valley to Calgary. Calgary is cold but bright, and the grandkids are rays of sunshine in our lives. Louise
