So I'm back from Scotland, we had a great time while we were there. Lots of sightseeing, eating and visiting. I wanted to meet Margaret while we were there, Louise arranged it and when I finally met her, she told me to go fly a kite. So I built this kite at Dave and Louise's and went back to get Margaret and we headed down to the East Sands. The winds blow heavy in Scotland, in fact they have a saying, "If it's nae wind and nae rain, it's nae golf". I don't know about the rain, but if there's nae wind, there's nae kite flying .Any way we needn't worry about there being nae wind. The kite went up easy, real easy, that's when I felt it start to pull me across the sand. Margaret sensed the situation and grabbed the sleeve of my jacket, too bad it was an old one and ripped right off my arm. So Margaret was standing with the sleeve of my jacket and I, being a sleeve lighter, picked up speed toward the North Sea. I thought if I could just hold on until I hit the water, it would help slow me down. My brain reminded me this was the North Sea, just a few degrees warmer than being able to walk on it. I had to let it go and lost my footing, I ended up head first in the sand, I don't know how the ostrich does it, it is really hard to breathe in there. Margaret ran up and grabbed my other sleeve and ripped it off as well, I've got a vest now. Hey. If you ever hear of a kite found floating in the North Sea or washed up on one of her shores, it's mine and Margaret's.

🌊 Well, Edward, I was on East Sands for your kite-flying adventure but I missed the loss of your kite, your face-plant and the transformation of your jacket into a vest. (Maybe I was distracted by the nude bather who walked right into the icy waters, ⛄ took a refreshing dip in the North Sea and strolled back across the sand to retrieve her clothing.)😤
Margaret read your account, too. She was surprised to find herself playing a supporting role in one of your tall tales but she said so with a smile in her voice. 😊 She was also quick to say how relieved she was that there was no blood shed in your latest misadventure.😌
By the way, we'll keep an eye out for that wayward kite. 😉 If found, it will await your next visit to Scotland and another opportunity to take flight over the North Sea. 🚀

Thanks Louise and Dave and Happy Anniversary to you too. We did go out to our favourite restaurant to celebrate and were served by our favourite waitress who served us 29 years ago on our first date. Now that's the whole truth and more believable, I think, than nude bathers in the North Sea. Perhaps Loved has rubbed off on you a little. I agree that it gets better every year. 😉 The first thing Margaret suggested after she read my response to Ed's August posting was that people would think I was telling tall tales, too. In this case, truth is stranger than fiction. 🌊🌊🌊 There was a nude bather that afternoon. She surprised us all by walking out as far as she could go at low tide, stripping off every piece of her clothing, walking into the sea for what seemed like a quick bath, coming out again and getting back into her dry clothes. 🎆 Heather actually caught a distant image of the lady in one of the pictures she took of Edward flying his kite. We think the woman may have been hiking the Fife Coastal Trail and got desperate for a bath. 😂
🚀 By the way, Ed and Margaret definitely spent more time flying their kite than the nudist spend in the North Sea.

Still, we made a point of using our time well with Deanie, Edward and Heather. In the end, we actually stayed very close to home on their first visit. 🚗 They left here knowing that the rest of Scotland awaits their exploration whenever they are able to return. 🚄 It's always good to leave a place when there is so much more to do.
