We are heading to the cabin at Wakaw Lake for the annual Matlock reunion. It's eight of us, the hosts, Shirley and Gary, sister Joan and Dennis from Lumsden, brother Terry and Cathy from Lumsden and Deanie and myself. This is the 27 th year. We usually have it on the August long, but the Ebert's family had a full reunion this year. 167 people at that one. They outnumbered us for the date. We are looking forward to a great weekend.

The first weekend in September in Ottawa is the hot-air balloon festival. About 150 balloons take part and they go up every morning and evening (wind and weather permitting.) Always fun to watch.
