I'm standing on the edge of a tub in socking feet and....I know... you're wondering. It's because socks won't mark the tub. So, there I am, when...still wondering? I'm standing on the edge to reach the ceiling joints, I am helping a friend install a new tub in a bathroom reno and am taping drywall. Anyway, I wish I could blame my friend for knocking me but it's my own clumsiness that sends me skiing into the tub. It's amazing how fast gravity brings you down. I'm moving at great speed when the end of the tub causes my feet to halt abruptly. To bad the rest of me didn't stop as well, my knees buckled and the mass of my upper body threw my head forward. It did loosen up my back some, I haven't been able to put my head between my knees since that turbulent flight from Vancouver to Victoria back in '81, that's a different story though. Now I can feel my feet getting wet, I must have broke the tap. No, that's not it, I've gone and gashed my forehead on the faucet, it's blood I'm feeling. Darn it! It's the month of vampires too. I don't like them, they'll smell the blood. I'm wishing I was like my older brother, Tony was so tough, vampires would lift the lid of their coffins to make sure he wasn't around before they came out. Well, I'm off to emergency, I kind of miss the staff there anyway.

Ed's Edition is one of the first sites I check whenever I go online.✔ As I was reading your October 1st entry, my smile😊 turned into a chuckle😄 and then into laughter that echoed through the empty room😅. (Someday, I'd like to hear you tell the story of that turbulent flight to Victoria.✈)

Thank you, Louise and David. It's a good thing I woke early this morning, Deanie isn't awake yet. I forgot all about our anniversary so I'm going out to get her something, it won' t be a ruby but maybe I could find a red balloon. I better get going, if I'm back in time, she won't even know I was gone and she won't know I forgot. Oh, oh, I hear her stirring. I'll be back shortly....Ha! Turns out she forgot too. No biggie, except my heart feels like a dagger went through it.
I'm just kidding of course. We actually bought ourselves a new car for our 45th so we'll be able to celebrate it for a number of years. No, it's not ruby red, but the sales lady was named Ruby. Ha. Ha. We have quite an anniversary day planned. We'll do our usual Saturday morning walk with Heather to the farmers market. Take Lui to drums at 1:30. Mass at 5:00 with the Gustafsons. Feed the grandkids after mass, take Eddie and Mia back to the church at 7, pick them up again at 9 and shuttle them all back home at that time.
Tomorrow we have a big thanksgiving celebration at Holly and Jamie's with the Matlock side of our family.
Monday we'll rest.
