That gnocchi comment was from Ellie herself, with coaxing from her siblings. She really did have more gnocchi after pie but only 3 pieces. The birthday cake was pie. Our kids request the meal and dessert for their birthdays, Ellie requested gnocchi and pie. She got pumpkin, one of her favorites and Saskatoon. Ellie and Beata both help with rolling and cutting the dough just like our kids did with dad. It's come full circle.
