ANTONINI REUNION....TAKE THREE

Here we go again. My plan is to bring part two up to six hundred and then the number of posts will be easier to keep track of. Within a few days we will be within one month of the date.

I think everything is going pretty smoothly. We have the student lounge at Campion on the 25th from 12:00 until 10:00. The plan is for each family to bring their own drinks and snacks for the day. I think Vic is bringing some candied popcorn and there are plans for a rice crispie cake. I expect some Italian Confetti as well. The Wok Box is now up and running and we will have them deliver us a meal around 5:30 or 6:00. There are vending machines in the lounge and a water fountain as well. The restrooms are a good size and just down the hall. I believe we all have Marcia's request for denim and white dress. Therese has the performances set and the day is set for visiting.

Sunday the 26th we have the hall at Holy Rosary Cathedral from 12:00 until 5:00. You are welcome to join mom for the 11:00 mass before hand. The CWL will cater with sandwiches, coffee and juice. Cathedral Bakery is making up a cake or two for mom for the day.

If there are any questions or if there is something else you can think of that I have missed let me know and I'll look after it.

See you soon.

Ed

AGGGH! I fell asleep on the basement floor, oh no!!! NIGHT BRAIN!!!!! Panic!! Where's the kite...where's the kite??

Geez

...I've rolled onto my kite, breaking two of it's spines and putting my knee through it's skin. Oh baby...I'm so sorry. AWWWHHH. More bad news...I must have kicked over the bucket of glue thrashing around in my sleep. The carpet is totally ruined. Wait a minute, wait a minute... That's good news, I can cut it up into thin strips, it will be great for the tail. I'll take the kite to T-Bone, he can fix anything.

ed said...

That was fast. T-Bone, did I ever tell you you're my hero. Splint the spines? Great idea T-bone. Sorry, I didn't bring any duct tape...17 rolls in which drawer? Look at him work, his hands are moving so fast, what a guy. Just glue a piece of paper over the rip? You're a genuis T-Bone. Sorry, I didn't bring any glue I kinda spilled it...4 bottles in which drawer? Look at him work his hands are moving so fast. Voila!! My baby ...she's back. You'll help me fly it...T-Bone, you're the best.

ed said...

Ha, ha! Ready for it's inawgirl flight, I hope I've spelled that right.

T-Bone stands steady, holding the kite at critical angle, I walk out ten yards, I've been training wind sprints for two months, I'll blaze through the next forty in 23.79 seconds. Ready T-Bone? Here we go! HAH! I can feel the tug on the string, unreel! unreel! This baby's climbing I can feel it flying. I turn around at forty yards, looking up 100 feet in the air...there's nothing there. The string is tugging good, there it is struggling at 15 feet, what the heck?... T-BONE!!!GET OFF THE TAIL!!!

Sorry folks, it was all a nightmare, disregard the last three entries.

I'm not sure if anyone can help but it appears Air Canada has abandoned passengers in Grand Cayman, including Tricia. Tricia went to an Internet Cafe to check the status of her flight which was scheduled to leave Sunday at 12:40 pm. It was cancelled. She has still not received a call from Air Canada informing her of the cancellation.
They are expecting Hurricane Dean to hit Cayman late Sunday night and intensifying to Level 5 through Monday.
I have been following the hurricane's progress and it appears there will not be any affect on Cayman until 6 or 7 hours after the flight was supposed to leave. If in fact they were expecting it to affect landings and takeoffs I don't understand why they wouldn't have contacted the passengers and sent a plane earlier.
We are trying to help Tricia get out but everything is booked solid. We are also trying to find the safest place on the island but it is so far away.
We cannot get in touch with anyone at Air Canada other than a ticketing agent who tried to help but to no avail.
Tricia is at the airport trying to get a flight anywhere.
I have contacted the TV station's news desks but haven't heard anything back yet.

Tricia called and American Airlines has added flights tomorrow as late as 6:45 PM. They are on the list of people wanting to go on that flight but they have not yet been assigned seats.
At 11:00 am this morning the National Hurricane Center issued a hurricane watch for Cayman which means hurricane force winds can be expected within the next 36 hours. Unfortunately they are predicting that it will be a Category 5 hurricane like the one that hit New Orleans.
What is most disturbing is that while Air Canada cancelled the flight at 12:40 pm Sunday afternoon, there will be no adverse effects from the hurricane until after midnight - according to the NHC. At the same time AC cancelled their flight the other airlines added other flights. Unfortunately when Tricia checked into other flights on Thursday she was told they could not book because she was already on a flight that was scheduled to leave in good time. I checked with AC on Friday and was told that the flight was scheduled and there was no reason it shouldn't. Some time between Friday afternoon and earlt Saturday morning AC cancelled the flight but did not notify anyone!Tricia still has not heard a word from AC and you wonder how many other AC passengers don't know yet that their flight is cancelled!

Thom, do you know anyone at the Globe and Mail? I spoke to Tricia a few minutes ago and she wants an appointment to discuss what she will have gone through when she gets back.

Betty Jo,
I did not miss your answer to my latest riddle - some 40 blog entries back. Of course, it is correct.

The wall hanging was our gift to Mom and Dad at our first big family reunion in 1981. We all pitched in on the costs of materials and I designed and made the hanging. It is currently on display in the spare bedroom of Mom's suite.

The symbols that I chose were meaningful at the time; some remain so to this day.

Mom's and Dad's squares are at the center of the hanging. Each contains a simple heart shape, one with a cross and the other with an arrow, for the woman and man at the head of our family.

Sixteen 20cm squares are arranged into four rows. In the top row are BJ (pen and paper), Vic (flute), Louise (taxi) and Mary-Ellen (an open book). Next come: Tony (the Antonini name), Lui (accountant's dollar sign), Mom (heart) and Ed (trowel). The third row includes: Marcia (musical note), Dad (heart), Christine (painter's palette), and Mike (office desk). In the bottom row are Marty (keyboard), Len (football), Therese (horse) and Rob (drums).

It was an impractical but impressive gift then ... and a blogversation piece now.

Time for another riddle:

TILES OF GLASS, (THEIR SIZES VARY)
PIECED TO FORM AN ARTIST'S MARY.

Of course, I want the story to get nationally disseminated, but I wouldn't be much of a reporter if I didn't go after it myself. We have a daily paper in our chain that is distributed all over the province, maybe you could get Trish to give me a call when she can, I'll at least get the ball rolling in B.C.

I'm posting this for Lui, who isn't at his computer right now. He just called now and told me that Tricia ran into some Price-Warehouse Cooper people ( her CA firm ) at the airport. They have a charter plane there and they had 4 seats left. When they found out about Tricia's work history with them and also about her medical condition, they gave her and Dave 2 seats on the charter, which is leaving the Cayman Islands in a couple of hours. The plane will be landing in Orlando tonight, and Tricia will let Lui & Marie know once they are there. I don't know the details. Lui will probably fill you in later, but he wanted you to know that right now, it looks like Tricia will be out of there long before the hurricane hits.

Thank you, God!! and thank you Price Waterhouse Cooper!!

We'll all breathe easier once we hear that Tricia & Dave have touched down in Florida.

Thanks everyone.

Tricia phoned from Orlando, Fl. They just landed. In the past 10 years during her fight against leukemia, I have never heard the panic and helplessness I heard in her voice this morning after she discovered the cancellation of her flight and we confirmed it with our call to Air Canada.

We just discovered that Air Canada's web site is listing the flight as scheduled now. And I could have booked a seat for just over $1,000. I am more upset now than I was before!!

As far as I am concerned, the withdrawal of the flight was absolutely irresponsible. The panic it caused our family is inexcusable and I cannot begin to explain how I feel about it.

Lui,
I regret the panic that this day has brought Tricia and the terrible upset that your entire family has suffered because of Air Canada's action.

Earlier this evening, Mom and I read on the TV news that Air Canada was putting on extra flights to bring Canadians home from the Caribbean and Grand Caymans.

We wondered whether there had already been so much negative reaction to the cancellation of flights that the airline was forced to reconsider.

I'm so relieved that Tricia is safe. The aftermath of this latest trauma is bound to take its toll on all of you. Take good care of one another. We love you!

Good morning Canada,

What a night. The riders came out ahead in an exciting touchdown filled game, stalled for an hour due to a little thing called lightening, just one of Mother Nature's light shows, still...the most exciting touch down of the night... was the one in Orlando.

Lou, you are amazing...

you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them;
"Hold on";

My favorite poem...If has always reminded me of Lou...my big brother.

Louise and David said...

Lucy here,

Holly ... you are so right about the blog becoming an instant prayer chain. We have laughed, cried, sung, told stories, solved puzzles, reminisced and even prayed together in this family room we call blogland.

BJ ... please bring extra copies of your blexicon. I may qualify as the bloghog but you've got to love those blurkers,too. My favorite word in blogjam, both for its sound and for the image it creates in my mind.

Thom ... Grey is a wonderful aroma. Go, Riders! Aren't you lucky that your Uncle Robert was blurking at just the right time during last night's game?

Ed ... no wonder that quotation reminds you of Lou. Do you have the name of the poet?

TILES OF GLASS, (THEIR SIZES VARY)
PIECED TO FORM AN ARTIST'S MARY.

Louise and David said...

Thom .... I see that you have not yet been able to award kudos to the person who deciphers ROTFKMWL. Like my riddle, your challenge has probably been overlooked. This family does not give up easily!

Here's my attempt - does it stand for "rolling on the floor killing myself with laughter"?
Luce

Lui said...

Louise the answer to your riddle is the display Dad created with mosiac tiles that depicts Mother Mary. It is about three or four ft tall and about 18 inches wide.

Louise and David said...

Lucy, one more time

While I am having this series of blogbacks, I have a question to ask. What is the meaning of that BTW expression that people use from time to time?

Lui said...

LOL By The Way!

Louise and David said...

Wow, Lui, that was a quick response! Good eye on Dad's beautiful mosaic Mary.

Mom tells me that the existing arrangement of glass pieces on a wood backing is the result of a restoration project by our brother, Ed.

Apparently Dad made two, perhaps even three of these exquisite madonnas that he designed in glass. Auntie Vic had one and Mom had another; but pieces were missing from both.

Ed has managed to make one glorious piece of art by combining parts from two of Dad's originals.

Mom also says that Marcia has admired this collaborative work and loves its story. As my riddle suggests, Mom wants Marcia to have this Marian panel someday.

In a lighter, more-playful vein, here's a poser:

EYES ARE BEGGING; HANDS ARE SET...
"ARE YOU FINISHED WITH THAT YET?"

LOLOL, Lucy

Louise and David said...

BTW .... oh, brother!

YGTBK!

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

Here's a little story that boosts your faith in humanity.

Ever since Lorraine left, I haven't seen my Sunday Missal. It's a beautiful leather-bound New St. Joseph edition given to me on my 41st birthday, June 7, 2004 by my parents.

Usually, Lorraine carries the Missals in her purse, so I figured she either had it or she had tidied it (as she is wont to do). Yes, I am a man, therefore, if something is not in plain sight it is lost.

Last night I did what any self-respecting man would do when faced with a lost item. Honey, where's my missal, I asked.

"Is it in the bookcase?" No.

"Is it in the drawer?" No.

"Maybe you left it at church?" But, honey, you always carry the Missals.

Anyhoo, I got to the church (also St. Joseph's coincidentally) a little early this morning and took a look around. Sure enough, it was sitting right there in one of the pews and has been obviously since July 22, the last time we went to church together before she left.

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, you'd think something like that would be safe in a church, but you just never know with people.

nice to hear from you len, i forgot about dad grabbing our toe, to wake us up, so he would'nt disturb the other five kids sleeping in the three bunk beds when we left with him early in the morning because we had a baseball game or something to do in the city that day. i can remember having the whole house to myself while dad worked, it was the neastest feeling. occassionally marcia would drive me in and she'd spend the day with me in that good old big house, and there was a different smell to the house, i guess because i'd been away from it. one time, marcia, len and i ended up in the ditch on the nine mile stretch, and i remember ed telling me when dad heard about it they were at 1140 garnet, it only took dad about 10 minutes to get from the house in the city to the nine mile stretch, about 30 miles away. i guess dad was'nt too worried about getting a speeding ticket that day. thanks for the memories len.

ed said...

Thomas, your story about your buddy Dan is the one I'm talking about.

It reminds me of Roy Rogers and the cougar:
Roy had just bought a new pair of alligator skin shoes and was very proud of them. On his ranch that evening he was attacked by a cougar and saved his own life by repeatedly kicking at the cougar before it gave up it's quarry. Roy was none the worse for wear but his new shoes were chewed up beyond repair.

Roy was very upset and went after the cougar, after a few days of tracking, he caught up with the cougar. He picked up his rifle, aimed, and with one shot, killed the cougar.

He placed the cougar on the back of his horse and rode back to town with it. People gathered around to have a look at the big cat. Dale Evans came out of the hotel and asked, "Pardon me, Roy, is that the cat that chewed your new shoes?"

b@bigdog said...

They both agreed it was impressive. Pete Townsend showed the other two a necklace with gold letters an inch high that spelled 'Tommy' and said that he received it as a thank you for composing the rock opera. They both agreed it was impressive.
Mick Jagger then showed the other two a loaf of brown bread and said that he had received it after concerts in Algiers. Paul and Peter said that it was nice but not as impressive as their gifts.

I'm suprised Lui didn't come up with something like the following:

I Can See Clearly Now the best-known hit of pop-singer song-writer Johnny Nash, born John Lester Nash Jr. in 1940, Houston Texas.

Early on, he was an actor. He also wrote and sang the theme song for the Mighty Hercules cartoon in the early '60s (one of my all-time faves).

Bob Marley's Wailers was the backup band on I Can See Clearly Now. It has been covered by Jimmy Cliff and the song has been featured in at least two movies.

Nash is apparently currently digitally remastering his music.

Marty should have a mil...er, a bunch of these.

He used to tell me I should sing solo...so low nobody could hear me.

Then he'd say he didn't mean it and that I really should be on stage...the next one out of town.

One more and that's it:

A frog goes into a bank and approaches the teller. He can see from her nameplate that her name is Patricia Whack.
'Miss Whack, I'd like to get a £30,000 loan to take a holiday.'
Patty looks at the frog in disbelief and asks his name. The frog says his name is Kermit Jagger, his dad is Mick Jagger, and that it's okay, he knows the bank manager.
Patty explains that he will need to secure the loan with some collateral.
The frog says, 'Sure. I have this' and produces a tiny porcelain elephant, about an inch tall, bright pink and perfectly formed.
Very confused, Patty explains that she'll have to consult with the bank manager and disappears into a back office.
She finds the manager and says 'There's a frog called Kermit Jagger out there who claims to know you and wants to borrow £30,000 and he wants to use this as collateral.'
She holds up the tiny pink elephant. 'I mean, what in the world is this?'
The bank manager looks back at her and says...

( wait for it)

.....'It's a knickknack, Patty Whack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a Rolling Stone.'

Can't wait to hear that Tricia's home in the arms of her family. Please tell her to post when she has a minute; we all can't wait to hear from her "in person". The comedian Dane Cook imagines heaven is like Arrivals at an airport and when you arrive, all your ancestors are standing there pointing at you saying "there he is!" and waving madly. I am getting the same image from this blog: although Tricia's family will be the ones to greet her at the airport in person, it feels like all of us here in blogland are standing in a virtual airport, waiting anxiously for Tricia's arrival.

Hey Lucy

I guess your riddle was a tough one,(for everyone else).

Karen and Keaghan and I went to Johnston's canyon a few years ago and we met up with a swirl of baby golden mantled ground squirrels. We stopped to have a picnic and they attacked us. One little guy jumped up on my arm and tried to take my sandwich. I grabed my food with my other hand and he ran up my arm over my shoulers and back down my other arm. They were so bold. I guess people fed them every day.
Anyway, he was so cute I painted a small picture of him begging me for food. That year the picture I painted of him won Best Of Show at the Art Essential Show at the Stampede grounds. I made prints of it and called it: "Are You Finished With That yet?". Mom has one in her suite.

Do I get another point Luce?!

Marcia said...

Well, I was in the middle of my guess about Marty's painting and he sent his in ahead of me!!

Marcia said...

Anyway, I just returned from Vancouver where Colleen and I spent the day on pins and needles waiting for news of Tricia. Imagine our joy when I checked the blog and found the good news there. Then we waited to hear from Lui and Marie about her arrival in Orlando. Oh happy day!

Kahless just noticed Marty's painting of the squirrel the other day. "what kind of animal is that? Who took his picture? Your brother painted it? I thought it was a picture (photo). He's very good."

And boy is he ever! I also have a whale and wolves to prove it.

Last few days and we'll be together - all the "lambs" will be home - right??

Later!

Oh, yes Marty,
You do get another point. You have not only correctly answered my riddle, you have provided details that only the artist could have known.

Thank you for the story of your trip to Johnston's canyon and your meeting with the golden mantled ground squirrels. You have captured one little guy perfectly and he rewarded you by winning Best of Show.

Yes, Mom has a print here in her suite and just yesterday she gave Father Koep the one that you had framed for him. That cheeky beggar of yours is a terribly popular creature.

I don't think the riddle was difficult; I think others were waiting for you to answer it. This one was for you! Good eye, Marty.

The little orb you are refering to in your riddle is the world Robby made for mom quite some time ago, I believe she was in the hospital at the time and I think it was misplaced up there. In any case she did get it back and it is still on display in her suite.

What's our next riddle?

Welcome home Trish, call me when you're up to it.

Wanna hear something else eerie?

I had only been in B.C. for two months and two weeks when I started covering the Ian Bush in-custody death, which most recently was the subject of a coroner's inquest.

Over the weekend Todd (publisher/editor) was pulling out all of our archives for our 100th anniversary edition to be published Aug, 29. He found a newspaper from 1939 (the year B.J. was born) that dealt with a coroner's inquest.

The name of the deceased?

Wait for it.

Thomas Barker!

Louise and David said...

Yes, Ed
Your answer to my latest riddle is correct.

Sometime after Dad died Robert made Mom a fimo world to hold onto. It is a small blue ball with white masses of clay at the north and south poles. The continents are vaguely represented by tan fimo pieces placed around the globe. The blue background forms the earth's oceans.

Mom tells the story about going over to 1140 Garnet after a break-in had taken place at the old house. She had Rob's fimo world with her and did not notice that she dropped it when she got out of the car in front of the house.

The police were already doing their investigation when Mom remembered her world. She retraced her steps to the curb, searching the ground as she walked along. A young officer asked her what she was looking for. She told him that she had lost the world that her son had given her as a gift.

The officer took time to help Mom with her search and it was he who spotted the fimo ball. He picked it up and handed it to Mom saying: "Wait till I tell my friends that I found the world today."

Mom no longer carries Rob's world around with her. It is sitting in a display case in her suite.

I think the fimo world riddle was inspired by the fact that every single item in Mom's suite has a story that makes the keepsake dear to her. This place is filled with such presents of love.

Here's another:

AN ARTIST'S GIFT SENT FROM DOWN EAST.
ON THIS GREY ROSE, YOUR EYES WILL FEAST.

Hi Mom. The problem with computers is they don't do what you want them to, they only do what you tell them to. This is what is commonly known in the vernacular of computer people as "user error." :-) Nice Blogrun, though, sorry to break it up.

b@bigdog said...

I can't believe how fast the predictions are falling.

Only two big sleeps left until I hit the road. My clubs are in the trunk. My car is in the shop. My laundry is in the wash. My guitar is tuned and my heart is already in Regina.

BJ said...

Thomas.
So what user error could occur when I did every single thing exactly the same as usual?

b@bigdog said...

It was a joke.

Some things are just inexplicable. Well, that's not generally true, it could probably be explained, but the question becomes is it really worth investigating?

Louise and David said...

Yes BJ,
You are right about the answer to my latest riddle. Joanne's pencil rose is exquisite in form, detail and texture. I am admiring it right now over the top of my computer screen.

Mom told me the story about how she came to receive Joanne's rose. Apparently Joanne asked you if you thought your mom would like the rose. When you said yes, Bob had it framed. He then sent the finished piece of art to Mom in Regina.

The mattings and frame complement the rose in every way. Mom also has a photograph of Joanne standing by her prize-winning painting of a glass of champagne that looks good enough to drink.

Yes, indeed, this family has more than its share of artists. We are blessed!

Let's get back to where it all began:

WHEN INTO THE WORLD WE CAME,
THIS BUILDING HAD ANOTHER NAME.

Louise and David said...

Lucy again,
BJ ... by the time I got to the end of your blogrun, I was laughing so hard the tears were rolling down my cheeks.

Misery loves company, I guess. I feel so much better when others admit they have struggles with this technology.

Thom ... it's called user error, eh? I feel like the computer is programmed to trip me up at ever turn. I'm headed for error as soon as I hit the start button. I have a love/hate relationship with this technology, though, so I am not prepared to give up any time soon.

What is now the Pasqua Hospital here in Regina, was once the Grey Nuns Hospital run by a religious community founded by Marguerite D'Youville in the province of Quebec.

All of Mom's children were born in the Grey Nuns Hospital and many of us remember the nursing sisters going about the wards in their long habits. A statue of their foundress stood in an alcove above the front door of the hospital. A cross indicated that it was a
Catholic facility.

Mom tells me that BJ, Vic, Louise and our deceased brother, Luigi were baptized in the Grey Nuns Hospital. She thinks Mary-Ellen was the first Antonini baby to be baptized in Sacred Heart Parish Church.

I was just packing to leave for Regina (only one big sleep left) and I had one of those unbidden memories. Better get the tissue now, Ed, you might get something in your eye.

I was packing the cord for my Phillips shaver. One of my most vivid memories of Grandpa was shaving with a three-headed shaver. It didn't really matter where he was as long as he had access to an electrical outlet. I specifically remember him in the dining room of our townhouse on Costello Avenue, his jacket draped over a chair, wearing his suspenders. I can see him moving his mouth and chin the way he did, always with grace. Then he would tie his tie and put on the jacket and be ready to go.

Funny the things you remember. Now, I've got something in my eyes.

Ahh, Thom ... now you've got me crying, too. That's my Dad; that's my memory, too.

I gotta go with Grandma on your latest riddle Luce. Too easy.

And, on the previous one, this thing is truly amazing. I had a dream about several years into the future, in which Ed was accepting an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most prolific and long-standing family blog.

If we can do 3,000 entries (starting to look possible) in six months, even if we slow down after the reunion, imagine where we would be in a few years.

I'm starting to get really excited. The great thing about a road trip is you don't really need to pack a bag. I'm just throwing a bunch of crap in the back of my car. Tomorrow night at this time, I should be snoring away in my tent somewhere around McBride.

Woo Hoo!

Here's an abridged list of some of the crap in the back of my car, just in case anyone is simlarly inclined:

Golf clubs (duh)
Baseball gloves (and balls)
Texas Hold 'em poker set (only for cash)
Guitar (double extra duh!)
Portable cribbage set (we are going to the cottage)

Please let me know if I've missed anything important.

b@bigdog said...

Oh yeah and my mandolin (just in case)

And maybe I'll bring my bass guitar, Marty.

Am I talkin' to you?

Whoa. I thought I'd check the blog once more before bed and I see Lucy posted a riddle, Thomas solved it, reminisced and loaded his car all in the time I was gone.

Thom

Dad bought a cordless later on and I remember him shaving while he was driving. To his credit though he wouldn't use the mirror he would just feel his face with his hand and hit any spots he missed. I use the same triple headed shaver, always have.

Thomas,

The contents of your car look good, in my case you're only missing the pumpkin seeds and slurpee.

I've been tracking Louise and Steve's progress out of the east on my road atlas, they arrive tomorrow evening. I've got a bead on McBride, what are your stops after that, I'll watch your progress from the west.

I can't stop now, two more entries and we hit 800. I'm so lonely, I'm Mr. Lonely, wish I had someone to call on the phone. Pat would probably tell me Lou Christie did that, then I'd have to check with Lou. Lou's my reference for songs and the artists.

There we go 800...now I better get some rest, I need to be fresh, I have a big reunion this weekend, the rest of you should think about coming, I think it's time to go to bed.

Good night Canada.

Good morning Canada.
Congratulations on reaching 800 Ed. It looks like a few more predictions may fall by the weekend, but 3000-- maybe not.
Looking forward to being there soon.
Love, BJ
