December!!!

Now that Betty Jo and Louise and I have solved the latest quiz, I can start a new thread. That's part of blogging etiquette, never start a new thread while a contest or puzzle is in progress.
Here it is, December, a month of get togethers. We start off with a bang tomorrow at Rob and Bonnie's for the Antonini Christmas party. Deanie's going to miss this one, she's celebrating her sister Joan's 60 birthday with her two sisters and Joan's two daughters in law in Vegas. She won't be back til the 8th, she's going to miss her own birthday as well. Oh well, I'll save a couple bucks not having to buy her a present. Ouch! I was so focused on hunting down and pecking out the keys, I didn't notice her standing behind me. More blogging etiquette...no standing behind a blogger while he's trying to type out an entry.

Have a great month.

Ed

P.S. I think she slapped out a few of the last strands of hair I have left.

So....how was Saturday's party?

Did you get a good turn out?

Any highlights?

ed said...

Saturday's party was great. Vic counted 41 different people over the course of the day. The food was terrific, the company was terrific, the kids all got along great, the litte dog was well behaved, although I don't know how he was feeling later on, he ate everything offered and more. Thomas brought a few copies of his first magazine. Therese brought a program for Mary's play "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". Jessica left to play hockey and came home a winner. There were lots of hugs and season's greetings. Everything just went so well. Great job by Robert and Bonnie.

Sigh....I guess you had to be there, but I am happy it was such a great success. Fortunately I heard a lot about it from Vic.

Thanks, Edward,
It's just nice to know that the family gathering happened as planned and that it was a great success. Merry Christmas!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEANIE!

This is one birthday that you will not soon forget. We hear that you are spending it (and your money) with two sisters in Las Vegas. Lucky, lucky you!

Here in Scotland we are snowed under - literally. However, we have plenty of fine scotch on hand to keep ourselves in good spirits on this December 7th birthday that you and David share. Cheers!

Congratulations, love and warm wishes,
Louise and David

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVID!

So, you're SIXTY-FOUR today. Don't worry, be happy . . . yes, I still need you and sure, I'll still feed you, now you're 64.

As the song says, you really are quite handy - mending a fuse, doing the garden, digging the weeds.

It's true ..."Who could ask for more?"

Gosh, I think maybe I love you more at 64!

It turns out there's a smattering of evidence that would point to Deanie as the reason I am gaining weight. IE...She went to Vegas with her sisters for 4 days...I lost 5 pounds. She's been back for 3 days...I've gained 6 back. You be the judge.

That's an interesting observation, Ed. Who knows, maybe a happy man gets more out of everything in life, including food.

Keep watching those calories though!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALAN!

If all goes as planned, tomorrow we will be able to greet you in person. We can hardly wait!

For now, though, have a wonderful birthday with your family and friends in Calgary. It's a mid-week celebration that you might even have to put on hold for one reason or another. Maybe we can be part of the fun after all?

Here's to that possibility. Cheers!

Lots of love,
Mom and Dad

Two antennas meet on a roof and get married, the ceremony wasn't much but the reception was excellent.

Deanie found out I blamed her cooking for my extra pounds. I've had to cook my own evening meals since Sunday so I've been eating quite a bit less, although, I did eat a lot of the two that were edible.

Hmmm...it seems blaming someone else doesn't always pay off. There comes a time when you have to take responsibility for your own actions
