May 1 2021

I'm  having trouble signing into my own blog. Every time I want to ad a new post a I have to sign in, and every time I have to sign in they don't accept my password, so, each time I have to create a new password. My memory is not what it used to be, and it's never been that good, I'm one of those losers that follows all the rules, like stopping at stop signs and red lights while riding my bike and hiding my passwords where no one can find them. Yeah, not even me. I've got about fifty of them, they're somewhere in the house.

Anyway, here I am. A little flustered but in relatively good health, although my blood pressure might be a little high at the moment. I was hoping May would be better than April. April is not a good month for blood pressure, you start out on guard on April Fools day, each time the phone rings your blood pressure climbs a notch, and with Deanie's brother Terry phoning every 15 minutes requesting a hacksaw blade to cut the bars on his window so he can get out and Spiderman his way down the side of the building where I can pick him up and drive him home, the old heart is put to the test. It's a good thing his memory is worse than mine, He doesn't remember I tell him I'll bring a blade over "tomorrow night" for the last two months. It's sad but after being in the Santa Maria for over a year he thinks he's only been there a few weeks. Then after April first it's that week of waiting to see if the good Lord is going to pop out of His tomb again for the second coming. Now, after that week it's, Income Tax time!!! All bets are off the table as to who or what is going to survive until that final "netfile" button is hit. As you can see by this May 1st post, I made it.

I'm pretty much on my last nerve though.

๐Ÿคท‍♀️I think we can all relate to the problem of having to create, remember and change passwords๐Ÿ—. (I wonder how many times my collection of them, arranged end-to-end, would circle the Earth๐ŸŒŽ.) The month of April also presents most of us with taxing issues๐Ÿ’ฐ. But the humour in your May 1st post happily takes the pressure off that last nerve ⚡️. It sets the tone for the Merry month of May๐Ÿ—“. Don’t you ever forget that๐Ÿ‘, Loved!

LOL, Louise๐Ÿ˜‚

Dear Loved
So glad that you writer's block has passed and you are entertaining us again. A nice start to a new month.
Lucy,
I will look at your quiz and see if I can answer any of it. It probably won't be "quick" one for me though.

๐Ÿ‘Nice start, BJ. You’ve got 5 of the 30 already. Try again on number 1.

๐ŸŽฒin the meantime here’s something for those who like a ‘dicey’ challenge;๐ŸŽฒ

What are the 6 letters on each of the four dice that, when rolled together, could spell all 12 of these words:

COZY, FOUL, GAIT
JAYS, MESH, NOTE
QUIP, RAMP, RUDE
SILK, SNUB, VICE

Louise and David said...

Thanks for juggling those numbers, BJ.๐Ÿ”„ I knew what you intended. Now you’ve got four more✔️. Number 18 needs revision. ๐Ÿคฆ‍♀️

Okay. Time for an update:
At this point, the only answers that aren’t right are 1 and 25.
You have correctly identified 9, 12, 22, 23, and 30.
Also: 5, 8, 11 and 21, 24, 26 and 18.

I count 12 of 30 correct at this point

๐Ÿ™‹‍♀️Hi Mary Ellen,
You have every reason to dance. ๐Ÿ’ƒ You’ve arranged the dice to spell the 12 words.๐ŸŽฒ It took me a while to juggle the letters around, and I thought of you when I finally solved the puzzle myself๐Ÿคฆ‍♀️. Well done you!๐Ÿ†

Louise and David said...

๐Ÿ™‹‍♀️Hi BJ,
You are sure on track in the wheel quiz!๐Ÿš† You’ve got the right answers for 10, 16, 27 and 29. ✔️Have another go at 1, 2 and 13. I have to say that I never did get RICKSHAW myself and MOPED was one of my last responses. ๐Ÿคฆ‍♀️ In the end, I still got 4 of them wrong,- 4, 18, 21 and 25. To be honest, I had Margaret’s help with a few, including number 6 (British insight).

Lucy๐Ÿ‘

BJ said...

So 4, 6 and 25 are incorrect? I thought VAN for 25 was it for sure.

Louise and David said...

✔️4, ✔️20 and ✔️13 are all correct answers. ๐Ÿ‘

What’s still out there?
#3, 7, 14, 17, 19, and 28

Louise and David said...

๐Ÿคท‍♀️Sorry, BJ I don’t know why there are delays in my postings. I had not seen your latest answers when I congratulated you on VAN and BIKE. ๐Ÿ‘
You’re rolling along so fast that I can’t keep up.๐Ÿšด๐Ÿšด

BJ said...

Thanks so much for saying what's left. I doubt that I will get the answers, but I will try for one more day and then you can give me the rest of the answers.

Louise and David said...

๐Ÿ‘Sounds good, BJ

๐Ÿ‘‚๐ŸผHere are some hints for the final push:

#3 is a compound word - if you concentrate on second part about being ‘fed up’ you may get the elusive fish as well.
To get #7, change just one letter of the answer you have for #4
Now, think of a synonym for #4 to find the second word needed in #17. Yell ‘fore’ when you see it.
In #14 zero in on the water bird known as a ‘coot’ and go from there.
#19 is a three-letter word; you even used it in an earlier guess that didn’t fit for #1
Google can help with #28. Start by looking up the abbreviation for Switzerland, and the rest of the answer is in the clue.

Tomorrow this ride will end, one way or another. ๐Ÿš—

BJ said...

Even with your clues I had trouble. My Final Guesses:
7. TRAP
14. LAND ROVER
19. UNI
28. CHARIOT

I had decided on 14 and 28 before I came onto the BLOG so didn't use your clues on those, and am completely stymied on #s 3 and 17.

Louise and David said...

๐Ÿ‘Thanks, BJ
You did all the work on this one and solved 25 of 30. Of your 4 last answers #28 is correct.✔️

๐Ÿ›ผ3. SKATEBOARD (there’s a fish called a skate)
๐Ÿš‹7. TRAM (T is a kind of junction)
๐Ÿ›ต14. SCOOTER (S for south, ER for the Queen)
๐Ÿ›บ17. GOLF BUGGY
๐ŸšŒ19. BUS

The four I answered incorrectly were:
๐Ÿ›ด4. SEGWAY (egg for softly push)
๐Ÿ“ฆ7. DOLLY (sheep made by joining genes)
๐Ÿ›’18.CART (from Whisk CAR To get...)
๐Ÿš™25. LEV (low emission vehicle from eLEVen)

It was a toughie but I liked playing with the clues.
I hope you did, too.๐Ÿ‘

Love Lucy๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿป‍๐ŸŽจHAPPY BIRTHDAY, CURTIS๐ŸŽจ!

๐Ÿ‘Greetings from us in Peachland. We spent a bit of time this morning visiting your Facebook page ๐Ÿ’ปwhere your unique works of art are displayed for all of us to enjoy๐Ÿ”ฅ. They are celebrations of your inspiration and creativity๐Ÿ–ผ. Congratulations.๐Ÿ‘

๐ŸŽBut today is more about celebrating you yourself, on your fifty-fourth birthday. ๐Ÿ’•We imagine that Barbara and your children will make this a special day for all the family.๐Ÿก Whenever we see pictures of so many of you together, we see smiles๐Ÿ˜Š, sharing๐Ÿฅฐ and beauty all around๐Ÿ˜Ž. Surely it’s party time in the Cutshaw home again today.๐ŸŽ‰ We join you from afar and raise a celebratory toast of our own in honour of you, Curtis๐Ÿฅ‚.

๐Ÿ”ฎHere’s to all that’s in store for you at 54. Cheers!๐Ÿท๐Ÿท
